This Wednesday March 17, Lent Film & Discussion "Chocolat"

Single mother Vianne Rocher and her young daughter arrive in a rural French town in the winter of 1959, and open an unusual chocolate shop that disrupts the moral fibre of the strictly Catholic and repressed townsfolk and the mayor, just as Lent and talk of temptation begins....

Film starts at 5.30, discussion afterwards. Bring chololate snacks and cookies to share with coffee while we watch and talk.

You are invited to the third Lent film and discussion evening on All Saints, featuring Michael Spurlock's story, on Wednesday 11 March at 5:30 PM, with a chance to discuss the film afterward.

The third Lent film and discussion evening next Wednesday 11 March, is All Saints, the true story of newly ordained Michael Spurlock, sent to close down a rural Episcopal church in Tennessee, with a community of South Eastern refugees struggling to survive nearby. Instead, together they create a vision, by adapting and co operating with love and faith despite setbacks, to cultivate new life and purpose to support both the Mayanmar people and revive the church.

Lenten Film Series: March 4th, 5:30 pm- "The Mission"
The second film in the series meant to inspire reflection and discussion during Lent. Bring a Spanish or South American inspired snack to Share. All are welcome!

In 18th-century South America, Father Gabriel attempts to protect a native Guarani people through peaceful conversion. He encounters Rodrigo Mendoza, a Spanish cavalry officer haunted by his past as a slave trader, who seeks redemption. As Portuguese forces prepare to conquer the region and enslave the natives, the two men find their differing beliefs and lead to a profound clash of conscience and ultimately, sacrifice.

Join us at Holy Trinity starting this Wednesday the 25th for the first of a series of films to inspire reflection and discussion during Lent. Films start at 5:30 at 211 Calle Crespo. All are Welcome.

In the class-obsessed and religiously divided United Kingdom of the early 1920s, two determined young runners train for the 1924 Paris Olympics. Eric Liddell, a devout Christian born to Scottish missionaries in China, sees running as part of his worship of God's glory and refuses to train or compete on the Sabbath, while Harold Abrahams overcomes anti-Semitism and class bias to take part.

Rudy's Memorial was Friday and I want to thank everyone at Holy Trinity including Canon Lesley and all our friends across Oaxaca who brought food. Also, Manuel Cruz and his family who performed beautiful music in his memory. Also thank you Father Bruce, although the snow in the North East prevented your travel, we felt you in spirit and your tribute was heartfelt and so meaningful. For all who attended the outpouring of love for Rudy and for myself has me enveloped in the warmth and love of the community and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so proud and grateful to call Oaxaca home. Kari Sierra.
