January Newsletter

This month has been amazing with lots of fun stuff going on. There has been many times of great blessing. This month started with ringing in the new year by helping build one of our homes of hope with a team from Canada. We got to help out a family living in poverty with a house.

Then in the second week of January I taught on our Worship, Intercession, Spiritual Warfare and Evangelism school about Jesus and his life. It was great to be able to be used by the Holy Spirit so these students could lay down their lives for Jesus. I thought coming into the week I would just teach about Jesus and how he lived but little did I know that God wanted these guys to end up making covenants with him to lay down their lives for him and whatever Jesus wanted for them. It was a wonderful week and so cool to walk in a gift that I didn’t think I had (teaching) and just being able to express some things God has taught you.

Some other things I have been upto this month has been translate for the school I taught on. I have been working doing base maintenance but now my main job has been preparing all the logistics for Carnaval. Its a ten day event put on by us at YWAM where we will have over 200 people evangelizing in a huge party. So as you imagine the logistics for this event can be a headache. This morning we had a meeting with the city’s coordinator for the event and God’s favor was enormous and we will be on the stages this year doing a performance during the break between bands. This is huge because upwards of 100,000 people could hear the Gospel during this event. What an honour! Please pray that God would give us wisdom in what to put on stage.

Please pray for me and finance as well as we prepare for our wedding on March 11th. Its a great time of watching God provide every step of the way. Later this week I will send out a bigger update letter about how we be serving together in missions in these coming months. We are very excited to get married and then be able to serve together in missions. Please continue to pray for us in this next month before our wedding as we seek God for what he has for us in these coming years.
