Here are a few words from Sally after 26 years of faithful service.
We are thankful for her heart of worship, her love for this church, and the way she has faithfully led us for the glory of Christ.

“It has been an honor and great joy for me to lead the worship team ministry here at Capital City Baptist Church. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to serve Him and the Church in this role.

We have sought to offer our musical worship to the Lord with excellence, solid theology, and a humble heart.

One of the callings the Lord has given me is to train the next generation, and I feel that the time has come to hand off the leadership to this next generation. The team is ready, and Gabriel has the heart of a true worshipper. I also believe he is the right person to take on this role, along with the support and help of Dan Harris and the rest of the team. I will continue to participate with them.

The Lord Jesus Christ said: “But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

My prayer is that God will always find true worshippers at Capital City Baptist Church. That there will always be those who worship Him in spirit and in truth, not only through song, but with their life.

Today we celebrate the life of a man who leads with vision, loves with conviction, and serves with a heart fully surrendered to Jesus. As a church, we thank God for your obedience, your passion for His Word, and the way you call us higher every single week.
