“Jesus always found time to pray—and during His years of active ministry He was busier than any of us could ever be. . . . We see this pattern again and again throughout Jesus’ life.
During His busiest, most pressure-packed periods, He appeared to pray more, not less. . . . For Jesus, every occasion was an occasion for prayer—no moment too great, no moment too small, from one busy day to the next. He lived praying, and He died praying.” —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, Incomparable (p.97)
Day 20 | What might be the deeper causes, beyond just the demands of your schedule, that keep you from a life of prayer?
Take a few minutes to reflect and pray with us.
“Lord God, forgive me for being so often too busy to call out to You in prayer. Help me learn from Your Son’s example that habitual prayer is not just an obligation or something to check off my list. Time spent with You is restorative and life-giving. Remind me even amid the noise and clamor of daily life that ‘I need Thee every hour’ and that anything and everything that makes me need You is a blessing. Amen.” (p.98)
