May 24 Devotional/ Ps. José Mediero.
God enables us to please Him.
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21 (NKJV)
World Changer: *In today’s verses it is taught to us that God the Father is the one that makes us fit in all good work to be able to obey his will. He places within us the resurrected life of our Lord Jesus Christ because in this way the Spirit of God begins the work of holiness in every christian who has consecrated themselves to God.
The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans teaches us that those of us who live in Christ now depend entirely on his grace, love and mercy.
It is taught to us in this letter that God’s law is spiritual but all human beings are flesh and with a nature sold to sin because of the sin in the garden. So even though he wanted to obey the law, Paul clarified that he didn’t do what he wanted but rather what he hated, that’s precisely what he did. So, the law, being good, condemned him because of the sin that lived within him and he also recognized that good did not dwell in his flesh because the desire to do good was within him but not the ability to do it. He was enslaved to doing what he did not want and unable to do what he did want, which was precisely the will of God.
*He recognized that the only one that could free him from that body of death, just as Jesus Christ is ours, let us pray that we do not hinder God’s will and that He may do that same work in our lives (Romans 7:14-25).
May Christ in us be our hope of glory, holiness, gratitude, consecration and victory to change the world (Romans 10:8-13, Colossians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 15:10, 57, Ephesians 2:1-10, Exodus 19:10). Hallelujah.
Consecration.
