English language Catholic Mass will resume on Sunday, October 4th at 8am. The location is the same Chapel of the Divine Teacher in the corner of 61 and 58, just behind the Mérida Cathedral.

October 4th is also the day of San Francisco de Asis. In the beautiful Chapel of the Divine Teacher there is a statue of him as part of the altar. He is the saint of peace, animals and ecology.

Please join us to celebrate. We are a welcoming and open group of expats and immigrants. All denominations are welcome.

Mérida English language Catholic Mass will have a summer holiday during the summer months. The last mass will be on 31st of May and will resume on 6th of September.

It has been a fabulous season. We have gotten new people attending the mass and a joyful return of the Snowbirds across the world. We have been blessed with wonderful priests and acolites.

We want to thank the Cathedral of San Ildefonso and Padre Juan Pablo for letting us use the beautiful Chapel of the Divine Teacher. We also want to thank Padre Jorge for tirelessly helping us.

We were able to return the traditional first advent coffee hour to thank all the people working in the cathedral.

It's truly a blessing to have such a caring community. We celebrate together, we have breakfasts and Thanksgiving together, even a house blessing, we give back to the community for example by organizing a food drive for the Christmas.

Have a happy and blessed summer ☀️

We hope to see everyone in September and many new ones too.

Tomorrow we are celebrating the English language Catholic Mass with Padre Mario, the Auxiliar Bishop at 8am.

Please join us! Everyone is welcome, non-catholics too!

For the Mérida English language Catholic Mass the sad sign of spring is when the Snowbirds return to their homes to far away places. Meanwhile the Mass still happens every Sunday at 8am, and we're hoping to welcome everyone who stays in Mérida for the summer. We're a friendly community, all denominations are welcome.

We had the most beautiful Easter Sunday service with a visiting Padre Fernando from Jerusalem. The Chapel of the Divine Teacher was bathing in sunlight and the powerful homily was about the Light of the World. Happy Easter!

Easter Sunday Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 5th of April at 8am in the Chapel of the Divine Teacher located in the corner of 61 and 58, just behind the Cathedral. Welcome to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior with us.

The Palm Sunday service will be celebrated on Saturday March 28th at 6pm in the Chapel of the Divine Teacher.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate with us. You can also bring palm leaves and small branches to be blessed.

Lately few people have asked about confessions. Our Padres are normally available after the 8am Sunday service for pastoral care.

After a wonderful mass we headed to a restaurant to have a breakfast together. Absolutely one of the highlights of the week.
