The Yucatan Peninsula Christian Mission is dedicated to sharing Christ with the people in the Yucata

The Yucatan Peninsula Christian Mission began in 1971 when churches in the Greater Dayton area set a goal of taking the gospel to the Mayan people living in Mexico. Samuel Gonzalez was a student at the Cincinnati Bible Seminary and he decided that God was calling him to the Yucatan Peninsula. With the financial assistance of churches in the Dayton area, Samuel Gonzalez and his wife, Elizabeth, mov

ed to Merida in 1973. Sam passed away in 2013, but he left behind a new generation of leaders who are working hard to carry on this all important mission. With God's guidance the work continues to prosper and grow under the dedicated leadership of native Mayan ministers in Mexico.
