With extra heavy hearts we are asking for prayer. Yesterday after we spoke at our last church we got a call that Mike’s brother had been found dead in his house. We are currently driving to Georgia.
We are of course shocked and heartbroken 💔 please pray for us and the family as navigate another loss. We really have no words right now but clinging to our Savior.

As we enter our last week updating churches and finishing things up before leaving, we ask for prayers for our hearts and the hearts of our family. Especially my (Sherri) mother.

Tonight we will be at Union Hill and finish up Sunday at Freedom Ministries. Our time has passed quickly even in the heaviness.

We have a jam packed year of ministry ahead and looking forward to how God is going to work in the lives of the Deaf and in us!

Please be praying for our goodbyes and safe travels. Our medical and dental clinic happening February 14th. Thanks for praying with us, we are so grateful!!!

Prayerfully there will be two more opportunities to update after we hear back from 2 other churches.

Praying blessings over each of you as we enter 2026.
2025 has been exciting, stretching, growth, pain, grief, and joyful. All these things can only exists together through Christ alone!!

Right now we are asking for prayer for Ensenada as rainy season has begun and so has the flooding 😢
Pray for protection over our house, travel for our teammates that will be traveling back to Ensenada starting tomorrow.
Also begin praying for our Medical and Dental clinic that is scheduled for February 14th.

Thank you for praying with us and for us, we appreciate it so much.

Tomorrow is the start of the retreat and rain is still showing up to hinder some of our activities. Please pray with us for no rain or rain at night when we are asleep. We have been so busy this week and we are all tired 😴 going into this. Pray for all of us to get great sleep tonight and the next 2 nights at camp.

Pray for hearts to be soft and lives to be changed. We are so excited to see how God is going to move and work!! We know He will!!!

Some quick updates and prayer requests.

When we started our monthly fellowships up again at a local Cafe & restaurant a while back, we began starting new relationships with local deaf and the teenagers that attended the Deaf School that we work with.
A young man we will call JJ started coming to the monthly socials and we encouraged our regular Bible study folks to start engaging and inviting their fellow deaf friends to church and Bible studies. And we have had 2 new deaf men start coming to church and Bible study each week 🙌🏻🙌🏻
When we returned earlier this week we were so blessed to hear that JJ accepted Christ as his Savior last Sunday at church 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 To God be the glory for all that He is doing.
All of these new friends and a bunch of the teenagers are coming to the retreat next weekend 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Please be praying for these specific things:
1. Please pray against the rain that is forecasted ALL next week and into the weekend!!!! A little rain at the beginning of the week is ok but we need the rain to disappear. We have flooding here when it rains making roads unusable and unsafe.

2. Pray for all the new people we have coming, we have people coming from Tijuana, Mexicali, La Paz, and Mexico City to be a part of this!!! Pray for soft and open hearts. Pray for God to speak to all of them and to ignite a passion in each of them. He has plans for each of them, pray they understand that and pursue His plans.

3. Pray for Isaac, he is the one sharing over the weekend. He is a deaf leader from Mexico City and will be sharing what God has given him to share. The theme is “God fills the hearts of those who trust Him”

4. Pray against all the spiritual warfare we are experiencing leading up to this huge ministry event. He is trying everything to distract, disturb and destroy all that God is doing and will be doing.

5. Pray for the mission team of 8 coming from Illinois and Iowa to help us put this on. Pray for no flight cancellations, safe travel as the pick up supplies in San Diego and drive to Ensenada.

6. Pray for our hearts as we try leading this event while trying to process the loss we have suffered. We realize we can’t be 100% focused, but we want to love and lead well. We need His strength to do that because humanly we can’t.

We are currently sitting at the BHM airport waiting to fly back to San Diego. Prayers that our flight out of Atlanta doesn’t get canceled would be greatly appreciated.

We need to get back to finish preparing for our Deaf Retreat and our final mission team of the year.
When we finish the retreat and see the mission team off we will pack up and start driving towards Birmingham. Please be in prayer for the mission team and our retreat. This is one of our biggest ministries of the year and such a blessing to the Deaf.

Please pray for our family in the sudden loss of Sherri’s father. We are heartbroken 💔 and in shock.
Pray for strength and peace as we try to start processing our grief and loss.

We are so very excited about Francis (another lady from Bible Study) giving her life to the Lord and following through in believers baptism.

Please join us in praying for her new walk and life with Christ. We do not take lightly the fruit we are seeing in many lives. It is proof of the work of God in them and we are so so grateful. We praise Him and give Him all the glory.
