Every act of justice,
every act of compassion or mercy
is a light, a star in the night of this world.

You may think your efforts small and meaningless.
You may think they make no difference.
But go out and look up at the stars.

Which one should not have reached out in love?
Which one should never have bothered
to act in courage and compassion?

They all shine until they are swept up
in the great light
of the One who dawns among us.

None of them rids the night of its darkness.
Yet God walks out and looks at them all
and smiles.

Sigo una estrella que brilla con un fulgor diferente.
Su centelleo enciende posibilidades.
Su resplandor ilumina parajes donde la justicia es real.
Y dicen que a su luz se descubre al Dios niño.
¿Lo has visto? ¿No quieres buscar conmigo?
Adentrémonos juntos, por la tierra que han de hollar
tantos caminantes que anhelan un Mesías, un libertador.
En un mundo donde tanta gente –también yo–
a menudo pierde el horizonte,
y se entrampa en luchas estériles y en falsas batallas,
Él nos ayudará a romper las ataduras,
sanará nuestras heridas
y colmará los sueños.
¿No quieres buscar conmigo? ¡Vamos!
Cuando lo encontremos
adoraremos
con palabras y acciones sinceras.
