Family News – Praise the Lord, Sylvia and I are grandparents! On Saturday, February 21st our precious grandson Lucas Andrew James Montoya was born! Sylvia had the joy of being with our daughter Becky when Lucas was born.
Ministry news – praise the Lord, we have had 10 adult baptisms since the beginning of the New Year! Each new convert has a unique testimony. Some have been saved out of a life of drugs and alcohol abuse, others teen rebellion and inmorality. But all have one thing in common, they are now washed in the blood, born again of God’s Holy Spirit, and their names are written down in the Lamb’s book of life. To God be the glory, great things He has done! Jesus continues to build His church. High Sunday attendance was 124 a few weeks ago. Personally, I am discipling nine different families in their homes during the week. It is tiring, but I believe it’s worth it. There are an average of 30 teens in our youth ministry, lead by our son Daniel Campana. Six other young people are being trained for full-time Christian service at Bible colleges in central Mexico.
Property News – A topographical engineer secured a blue print of the property that as a church we want to buy at the very entrance of the neighborhood where we are presently located. The property measures 3,809 square meters (very big). My Mexican wife Sylvia who is the president of a civil association “Impact Juarez” submitted a signed request this past week from the city of Juarez to buy the property together with the blue print, the certificate of property existence, aerial fotos and articles of incorporation. We were told that we have to wait six months for their answer. Please pray that their price will be reasonable, considering that we want to use the property to rebuild broken lives.
Please pray that our heavenly Father will soon provide us the needed property, for more precious souls to be rescued from sin’s darkness to God’s light, for spiritual growth for our new believers. Also, that the Lord will call many of our teens to full-time service during camp this summer. Thank you church for your faithful prayers and financial gifts that allow us to continue to reach Juarez for Christ.
