LAKE CHAPALA BAPTIST CHURCH WELCOMES YOU!

We invite you to worship with us this Sunday, July 9, 2023. We are located at Santa Margarita # 147, at the corner of San Lucas in Riberas del Pilar.

9:30am: Bible Study from the book of Romans

10:45am: We begin our service with the return of our beautiful-sounding bell choir.

Our choir is growing with each week and our songs are a joyful sound unto the Lord.

Pastor John Whitener will be preaching for the next two weeks. This Sunday, his sermon is entitled: "HIS LAST PRAYER." from John Chapter 17. If you have not heard John preach before, he is dynamic and thought-provoking.

After the service, get to know us and one another more intimately as we enjoy a lunch together at one of our many wonderful local restaurants.

SISTERS IN FAITH SERVICE-ORIENTED MINISTRY FOR JULY 2023

LCBC's Sisters in Faith service-oriented ministry for July is our visit to a nursing home way across the other side of the lake. We are called by God to love one another and we will show our love by ministering to these 40 or so ladies who live in this nursing home. Many suffer from Alzheimers or dementia and will welcome the loving touch of a stranger bringing them little items to show them they are always lovely women in the eyes of God. You are invited to be a part of this group. July 20, 2023. More details are being made available shortly.

St. Francis of Assissi is attributed with this statement: Preach at all times - use words when necessary. We add to this: The language of love needs no interpreter. Praise be given to our Lord for this opportunity.

Great Bible Study again yesterday! Mike Hayes will be teaching the final verses of 1 John on Tuesday of next week at 10:00am, followed by a time of devotion, prayer and praise. After Mike finishes off 1 John, we are excited to be led by John Whitener who will be teaching us for the next month or so, returning to our study of Psalms. This is a dynamic Bible Study group, with lots of interaction, questions and a thirst for learning more. It is growing weekly. Men and women are welcome to join us.

This Sunday and next, John Whitener will be leading us in worship at 10:45am. If you have not heard him preach before, you will be inspired by him as he presents the Word.

If you have not found your home church lakeside yet, you are welcome to worship with us. We'll save a seat for you.

UPDATE ON LCBC MINISTRY TO MAMA CLEO'S BOYS HOME

We are excited to announce the orphanage now has a kitchen area cover, thanks to the efforts of LCBC, John Speight, Linda Tramel and others. A protective cover was provided, constructed and installed over the entire kitchen area so that the boys can eat comfortably under it, out of the elements totally, and also do their homework. They were very appreciative of our efforts.

A fun fundraiser was this month's service-oriented event at LCBC, sponsored by the Sisters in Faith ministry on June 29, 2023. A Bingo and Dessert event raised funds for the boys and a good time was had by all.
