After visiting Colombia the thought that stays at the back of my mind. Is that despite the huge disparity of wealth between our two countries. The real question is. Is our wealth making us better or worst. Sadly and truthfully I have to say that the wealth we have isn’t benefiting us to make us better people. And I didn’t think that until I witnessed people who are providing better customer service hands down, friendlier interactions, helpful and more human experiences, while living on an avg salary of $300/mnth.

I have so many examples to site that made me have to come to terms that I would myself become a better person living poor amongst the have nots of the world but I know I would never trade places. One such was the man who stopped my friend and I from going down a street where there was nothing for us to see, and putting us on the right track. Complete stranger but making sure to look after us for anything we needed until we were in a cab looking for nothing in return except to hold tight to his love for his country and his people. As did every single person we dealt with. They made sure to take care of their guests to their country which is one of the best attributes you can portray to take care of the foreigner to your lands. Being wealthy automatically puts you in a position to have the upper hand and thus look down upon those below you. That challenge of not taking the blessings Allah gave you the wrong way are the hardest to overcome. It’s directly linked to arrogance and entitlement which destroy the character.

I think it’s sad to see how the more Allah gives us, the worst we actually become most of the time. Passing the test of abundance is the test we all beg for, but the test most of us will all fail. Once your needs are met, it becomes difficult to attribute all your success to Allah. We become disillusioned with the idea of self sufficiency and entitled to what we feel our work achieved. Even if billions of others were smarter, worked harder but just weren’t decreed to succeed.

I believe we should travel to help those who have much less and make it a point to help people below us where ever we are. Yes it’s hard to find people who will be grateful but keep searching. They’re out there and worth finding. I just keep remembering the groups of people who come to the Masjid in Cartagena every day at 12pm to sit for some spaghetti, or any other meal prepared for them every single day. Sitting content and happy with smiles to simply have that daily meal. Subahnalah, I understand more why the poor will enter Janna 500 years before the rich. May Allah allow us to purify our wealth as best as we can. Because this is a blessing we will be held accountable beyond what we’ll ever realize.

"Daily Reminder: Try to supplicate this dua/deeds every single day to become a habit.

1. Dua That Guarantees You Forgiveness (Sahih Al-Bukhari 1154)

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Whoever gets up at night and says:

La ilaha 'illa Allaahu, wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku, wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa ala kulli shay’in qadeer. Subhana Allaahi, wal hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaaha ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, waLa hawla wa la quwwata illa billaah.

There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah Alone, He has no partners, He has the Dominion and for Him is all praise, and He is capable of all things, praise is for Him, and Far is Allah from imperfection, and There is none worthy of worship in truth except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest, there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allah.

"Then he says: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لي

Allaahumma aghfirlee. “O Allah forgive me!”

Or he supplicates and his supplication is answered, and if he makes Wudhu and prays, then his prayer is accepted.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier." These are:

Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, 'adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah 'arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi.

Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu'awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians)”

(Sahih Muslim 804a and 805) Ref: https://sunnah.com/muslim:804a

6. Dhikr that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ says you will catch up with those who are ahead of you (in Deeds) & supersede those who will come after you, & nobody will be able to do such a good deed as you do except the one who does the same.

That deed is to recite 'Subhan Allah ten times, and 'Al-Hamduli l-lah ten times, and 'AllahuAkbar' ten times after Every (fard) prayer.

Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (saws) in English and Arabic

24/04/2021

Alhamdulileh our project to spread the Deen to Central and South America has taken off to a tremendous start. We’ve established a working business in Cancun with someone to now lead things on the ground as we finalize a location to become the first Masjid there Inshallah. Working in terms of sustainability with businesses that will support our cause, we believe we will provide more to the people in terms of jobs, assistance and support. Most of all, the Dawah will be supported and eventually we will not be in need of any outside support. Sustainability is our methodology for the long term haul we plan to carry out for the next 40 years inshallah.

More so we reached on the ground here in Bocota and Cartagena, Columbia. Here’s a video from a small village town in Cartagena. Well share plenty more inshallah.

What we need and what we’re seeking right now:

We need Duats and teachers of Quran and Ilm to come and spend time with the people and teach them more Islam.

What we can offer:

Free flights, room and board, free access to Dentists up to $300 which is equivalent to about $3000 in the US. Most of all, a chance to come and help to purify your soul as you witness how little others are living off of every single day. Please reach out to help spread the Deen.
