UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Cochin Jews in Israel
ko-CHIN jooz
Did you know there are Jewish people in Israel who speak a south Indian language, Malayalam? Today the Cochin Jews have been incorporated into the Israeli population. Many retain their Malayalam language and spicy cuisine, and in Israel, the Cochin Jews are most famous for bringing a delicious hybrid cuisine that incorporates spicy Indian food. Their lifestyles are no different from other Jewish people in Israel. Through past generations, these Cochin Jews have become lighter-skinned than their forefathers in southern India.

Ministry Obstacles
The Cochin Jewish population has had bad experiences with so-called Christians in the past, especially when the Portuguese controlled their part of western India. Israel, to them, is a refuge from hostile outsiders.

Outreach Ideas
Believers will need to find persons of peace in the Cochin community to gain their trust, so they can share the spiritual riches of Jesus Christ.

Scripture Focus
"Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." Matthew 13:8

Scripture Prayer
Pray that today’s people group would become fertile soil and produces much fruit for God and His kingdom.

Prayer Focus
Pray for Jesus movements to bless extended Cochin Jewish families so the gospel will spread rapidly among this people group. Pray for the spiritual lives of the Cochin people to become fruitful as they follow Christ. Pray for the lives and culture of the Cochin people to evidence the rule and reign of the Kingdom of God as they open up to the gospel, and for the beauty of Jesus to be seen in them. Pray that the spiritual eyes of the Cochin Jews are opened to see their Messiah.

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Mochi (Hindu traditions) in Bangladesh
MOH-chee
The name Mochi means "cobbler," a label that describes their place in the caste system as well as the shoe-making occupation this people group holds since most of them work with leather hides and leather products. In addition to following Hindu traditions, they are divided into clans that involve a complex social ranking system. They can be found in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Ministry Obstacles
Their low literacy rate makes reaching the Mochi a challenging task.

Outreach Ideas
There have been reports of a few Mochi putting their faith in Christ. This small but vital minority could be the key to reaching the rest of this people group.

Scripture Focus
"I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy." Psalm 63:4-5

Scripture Prayer
Pray that much praise reaches the heavens from this people group.

Prayer Focus
Pray for the Holy Spirit to give the few Mochi believers a passion for sharing His love with their friends and family, leading to an unstoppable movement to Christ. Pray for the Lord to reveal strategies for overcoming social, political, religious, and caste limitations. Ask the Lord to raise up men and women willing to teach the Mochi to read and in the process, make His name known among them. Pray for internet and audio ministries to be used effectively to share Christ with the Mochi.

GOD BLESS US ALL.

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Bhoksa in India
BOOK-sa
The Bhoksa have 15 clans, but are not clanish. They are Hindu, but they still like Christmas! They live in Himalayan forests although they did not originate there. They live in Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir of India, and they are a Scheduled Caste, so they have low status. After marriage, wives cannot see some in-laws. They fear spirits and ghosts, worship Hindu gods, and celebrate Hindu festivals. They resist the modernization of society.

Ministry Obstacles
Lack of outreach in this highly unreached part of India, rugged terrain, and minimal infrastructure are main obstacles to getting the gospel to the Bhoksa people. There is no Bible in their language although some read Hindi, which has a Bible.

Outreach Ideas
Christmas can be used as a bridge to open them to the gospel. Their need for medical care, education, improved agriculture, sanitation, and safe water can open the door for Christ followers with the right skills to serve and witness to them in the love of Christ.

Scripture Focus
"Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me— now let me rejoice." Psalm 51:7

Scripture Prayer
May members of this people group be broken, and willing to repent and follow the Lord.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the very few believers will grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord and in boldness of witness, especially at Christmas time. Pray that God will direct believing physicians, agriculturalists, educators, sanitation engineers, and Bible translators to work among them.

GOD BLESS US ALL.
HAPPY SUNDAY.

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Jaunsari in India
JON-saw-ree
Do you ever want to go back to Bible days? You might feel like you are doing that by visiting the Jaunsari community in Uttarakhand, They still plow with oxen instead of a plowshare. Like the Hebrew Patriarchs, they may marry more than one spouse, although Jaunsari women can have more than one husband. They are divided by two mountain and valley homelands and dialects. They live in colorful houses with pagoda-style roofs, which they leave to cultivate fields and to graze cattle and goats.

Ministry Obstacles
The first obstacle is the terrain and elevation, making them hard to access. They speak two different languages and have only some verses of the New Testament available in one of them; others need to hear the gospel in Hindi.

Outreach Ideas
Diwali, the Festival of Lights, may be a bridge of God. John 8:12b: "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."

Scripture Focus
"Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night." Psalm 51:2-3

Scripture Prayer
Pray for true heart-felt repentance to come to leaders of this people group.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the few believers will allow the Holy Spirit to direct them in all they do and say. We need to pray that the Jaunsari will lose confidence in their gods and see Jesus as the only answer to their fears of ghosts and spirits. Pray for a full Bible translation and Christian witness, leading to a Disciple Making Movement.

GOD BLESS US ALL.

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Tamboli (Hindu traditions) in Bangladesh
TAHM-boh-lee
Imagine that your people group was named after a popular tea or coffee. The Hindu Tamboli people of India are named after their main crop, "betel nut," which is a leaf that many people in South Asia chew as a stimulant. The Hindu Tamboli people are located throughout northern and central India as well as Bangladesh.

Ministry Obstacles
Because there are no known followers of Christ, starting ministries can be very difficult. The Tamboli are Hindu, and their bo***ge to idol worship is strong.

Outreach Ideas
The JESUS Film is available in the Tamboli's language of Bengali. Believers can make sure this is available to many throughout Bangladesh, but it will take some creative approaches.

Scripture Focus
"We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name." Psalm 33:20-21

Scripture Prayer
May this people group rejoice in the Lord always.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the Tambolis would have opportunities to hear about Jesus through the JESUS Film. Pray that their bo***ge to idols would break in Jesus' name. Many of the Tamboli are illiterate, which prevents economic advancement. Pray that the highly educated Tamboli would bless those in a lower economic status by making education more accessible. Pray that this would be the decade when there is a great harvest and a movement to Christ among the Tamboli people in Bangladesh.

HAPPY NEW WEEK
GOD BLESS US ALL.

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Turi (Hindu traditions) in Bangladesh
TOO-ree
How tragic it is in the Hindu caste system to be born a Dalit (untouchable), to be shunned by much of society, denied entrance into temples, and excluded from many functions of the rest of society! The traditional occupation of the Turis is working with bamboo and making items such as baskets, mats, hats, and furniture. Others work as landless agricultural laborers. Over one third of the Turis are unable to read or write.

Ministry Obstacles
Illiteracy eliminates many opportunities for them to improve their lives economically and spiritually, and illiteracy is also a main obstacle of reaching the Turi with the gospel. They are convinced that they can someday be reincarnated into a higher caste community if they follow the rules given them from the Hindu religious establishment. Thus, they do not understand grace and mercy.

Outreach Ideas
They might respond to oral stories and movies about Jesus, but printed materials would not be a good way to reach them.

Scripture Focus
"He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth." Psalm 33:5

Scripture Prayer
May this people group seek and find the Lord’s unfailing love!

Prayer Focus
Pray for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully through believers who are ministering to the Turi people. Pray for Turi families to turn to the loving arms of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. May they come to know that they are highly loved in His holy kingdom.

God bless us all

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Loba in Nepal
Pronounced: LOH-bah
Most Loba people live in the Mustang district, a semi-independent kingdom within Nepal. Until 1952 this small people group had their own Buddhist kingdom, which was established around 1380 AD. Some Loba practice polyandry, where one woman has more than one husband, and her husbands are usually brothers. They do this because she is less likely to become a widow if she has many husbands. Almost all Loba are zealous believers in Tibetan Buddhism as reflected by their many temples and monasteries. Some years ago several Loba were relocated outside their territory because of great floods, and this has brought some into contact with believers in Christ for the first time.

Ministry Obstacles
Buddhism teaches a very different worldview than that of the Bible. Much readjustment in one's thinking is necessary to begin to understand and believe.

Outreach Ideas
We can pray the few followers of Christ among the Loba will soon become strong enough to take the gospel to their entire people group. They are not a large people group.

Scripture Focus
"Then all the people gathered as one man at the open space in front of the Water Gate. They asked Ezra the writer to bring the book of the Law of Moses which the Lord had given to Israel." Neh 8:1

Scripture Prayer
Pray for an eagerness to hear and heed God’s word among this people group.

Prayer Focus
There have been a few Christians reported among the Loba. Pray they will be nurtured by the Lord's Spirit and that they will grow in numbers and maturity. Pray the strongly Buddhist Loba will be given a knowledge of their sin and need for a Savior. As they hunger to know forgiveness, pray the Lord will send knowledge of his Son's death and provision for forgiveness to them.

GOD BLESS US ALL.

UNREACHED PEOPLE OF THE DAY PLEASE LET'S KEEP PRAYING FOR THEM!!!

Brahmin Varendra in India
Varendra Brahman families value higher education. Towards this end, there is a new university in the Varendra region that straddles West Bengal and Bangladesh established in 2012.

Ministry Obstacles
Like other Brahman peoples, the Varendras feel that turning their allegiance to another religious system will jeopardize their status. For this reason, they are very reluctant to give their allegiance to Jesus Christ, believing this is tantamount to joining a different religious system.

Outreach Ideas
If someone made close friends with leaders of the Varendra Brahman community and led them to understand the unfathomable glories of Christ, they might be able to find ways to worship Him that conform to their culture and don’t conflict with the Bible.

Scripture Focus
Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent. 1 Kings 18:21

Scripture Prayer
Pray that today’s people group will indeed see the vast difference between the Lord and any other deity. Pray that they will follow Him.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the Holy Spirit will raise up believers who will actively introduce the Varendra Brahmans to Christ and help them to worship Him in culturally appropriate ways. Pray for Christ to reveal Himself to Varendra Brahman leaders. Pray for a Disciple-Making Movement to emerge among every Brahman community.

GOD BLESS US ALL

*CAN THE CHURCH LEARN FROM THE WORLD?*

_By Reuben Kachala_

Whenever the world is hit by any crisis which causes death or any form of human suffering , be it natural disasters like *Tsunami* , *Wars* or diseases like *Malaria, TB, Polio, Cholera, HIV/Aids, SAARS, Ebora, Covid 19* etc, governments and other global institutions rise to the occasion and unite to fight against the enemy. They handle the issue as an emergency. Priorities are adjusted, financial and other resources are raised promptly, budgets are fully funded, personel is immediately increased, equippment is acquired as soon as possible, cutting age research is promoted, funded and acclerated, facilities are enlarged, civic education and global awareness campaigns are planned, funded and done, action is demanded and facilitated until the crisis is over. All this is done to stop death and to alliviate human suffering.

*A CHURCH CRISIS:*
For hundreds of years now, the church continues to be hit by a crisis. A crisis more dangerous and needing more and immediate attention than any of the above. What is it? *SOME GLOBAL CITIZENS ARE SUFFERING FROM LACK OF ACCESS TO THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH LEADS TO THEIR ETERNAL SUFFERING.*

Did you know that at least one out of three people in the world will be born, live and die without ever having the chance to hear the Gospel-not even once? *AND THE MAJORITY OF THE CHURCH DOESNT KNOW OR CARE!*

There are *3 billion* people in the world today with little or no access to the gospel, *AND THE MAJORITY OF THE CHURCH DOESNT KNOW OR CARE!*

There are *7,000* ethnolinguistic peoples on earth with little or no access to the gospel, *AND THE MAJORITY OF THE CHURCH DOESNT KNOW OR CARE!*

There are only *13,315* missionaries currently on the ground to reach out to the *3 billion* gospel-deprived people while *386,685* missiomaries work where the gospel is already available, *AND THE MAJORITY OF THE CHURCH DOESNT KNOW OR CARE!*

*1%* of funds given to Christian

“Church is not a temple-like building to attend on Sundays,
but a community of revolutionary people who make Jesus
the Lord of their whole lives and live to accomplish His
mission. If Jesus is the Lord of every day and every part of
life, and the church is the people who live for His mission,
then church happens every day, everywhere! Church is not
limited to a holy day meeting, led by a holy man; it is a
mission force of radical people invading every vocation and
every nation of the world.”
