Gen 1: 10 "God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that this was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it."

After creating everything, the LORD affirmed and sustained all His creation. Ecclesiastes 3:14 says that everything that the LORD does shall be permanent. This permanence comes in because of the affirmation and sustainment that He decreed. He is our sustenance. That healing and divine health that He has given you shall be permanent. He is sustaining us in every area of our lives.

Psalms 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

If there is one thing that moves the LORD then it is holiness. He demands holiness which is perfected as indicated in the above verse "beauty". It is Christ's death that perfects us; making us whole everyday through His mercies that are fresh each morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

New day, new (fresh) mercies. Let your hearts be at peace and ease, for He who provided yesterday is going to do the same today through fresh mercies. All you need to do is trust and obey.

Job 2:4 Then Satan answered the LORD and said, "Skin for skin! All that a man has he will give for his life,"

The enemy knows very well that man's primary concern is his health and attacking it would knock man off balance. If man is righteous before the LORD, the enemy will come after his health, family and everything else; he wants to take away everything that draws man to the LORD and in the end leave him with no reason for reverence and worship for the LORD. A five-year health condition characterized by excruciating daily and all day pain, is enough to make man give all he has just to save his life. Your condition might have persisted throughout the years but it is not your permanent state. It will leave for good very soon. You need to hold onto your faith a little longer because dawn is coming. The darkest hour is just before the dawn.

2 Sam 24:14 "Then David said to Gad, 'I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD, for His mercies are great, but do not let me fall into the hands of man'".

The great king, the greatest authority in Israel at the time, understood how great the LORD'S mercies are (Lam 3:22-23). He knew he had sinned and the safest place to be was the LORD'S hands and so, he chose to fall at the hand of the LORD. He knew how cruel and heartless humans are. The LORD is our sanctuary and we're not safe anywhere else outside His palms.

Exodus 34:6 "And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, 'The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth'",

Luk 2:52 And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men. (AMP)

Prov 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (KJV)

Stature shouldn't be the only measure of growth. Growth is multi-dimensional; as one increase in stature, the same has to happen in wisdom and grace (favour). Wisdom has to do with the use of knowledge in making good decisions and judgments. A life of try and error emanates from lack of wisdom. You miss wisdom, you miss the "fullness of life".

Deuteronomy 30:15, 19 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (read Deut 30:15-20)

The LORD gave them laws but also free will; to choose the kind and quality of life to live. Joshua, reminded them of the laws the LORD had set for them but also the freedom of choice they had. However, he didn't hide from them the fact that whatever choice they would make had consequences attached to it. Our choices and decisions today, determine the quality of our life tomorrow. The LORD gave us free will, to choose either life or death; good or evil. He gave us the right to choose; to be architects of our tomorrow through the decisions and choices we make today. We reap what we sow; if it's not tomorrow, then the day after it. "No man can outrun his shadow." The food we eat, the people we attach ourselves to, the behaviours we stick to and all, are all decisions and choices whose consequences we cannot escape. We cannot error if we involve the Holy Spirit for direction in all our decisions and choices. Selah!

Job 42:5-6 "I had heard of you [only] by the hearing of the ear, but now my [spiritual] eye sees you. Therefore I retract [my words and hate myself] and I repent in dust and ashes."

Job realized that his attitude while waiting on the LORD for the restoration of all (wealth, health and children) he had lost mattered most. He asked the LORD to forgive him for all the words he might have said ignorantly during this most excruciating period of his life. The LORD revealed His anger to Job about his friends who spoke ill against Him. The Father is not moved by our ability to wait but our attitude while waiting; that's what patience is. He is not pleased with grumblers. Attitude while waiting speaks volumes about the level of one's faith. Keep a positive attitude while waiting on the LORD.

Job 42:15 "In all the land there were found no women so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers."

The beauty and mystery of restoration. When the LORD is restoring what you have lost, He does not give you substandard, poor quality or defective things, no; He makes sure what gives in return of what you have lost is unique and of the highest quality. In addition, He makes sure He gives you in multiple. Restoration is such a beautiful season in a person's lifetime.

There are two principal beings that guard us from erring (error): the word of God and the Holy Spirit. You miss the two, you act foolishly.

People error not because they are destined (by design) to but because they continuously despise the transformative power of the word and the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

A self explanatory and clear cut scripture about the mission of our Lord, Jesus Christ; with focus on binding up the brokenhearted. He was, is and will always take in the brokenhearted and heal and offer them perfect peace (John 14:27) and rest (Jeremiah 6:16). There is no brokenness that Jesus Christ cannot and won't fix or mend. No one is too broken and beyond fixing. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth (IsaIah 42:3). No degree of brokenness ever scares Him and He has never turned away anyone.

Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

If you can't see the LORD'S faithfulness, think of every single breath you have taken in the last 24 hours without the aid of a ventilator or any life support system. That's one way He has been faithful to you. You might have temporarily stopped breathing (skipped some breaths) at some point during the long sleep, but you were resuscitated without the use of a defibrillator; that's the hand of the Father, work of His faithfulness. I drowned in the waters of Lake Malawi in 2005 and stayed in the water for longer than my residual volume could support me. I sank to the bottom of the lake. Then, I saw a very great (dazzling) light which pulled and directed me to the surface of the water; and that's how He saved me from the mighty waters. Selah!
