LEARN FROM THE BEST!
(The Holy Spirit Is Your Teacher)

📖TO THE BIBLE John 14:26
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…”

▶️LET’S TALK
The Lord Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would teach us all things, and that’s so powerful. I once had a discussion with a seasoned banker about a topic in his field. When we were through, he was astonished that someone outside his field could have so much insight into banking. I’d never been to banking school, but the Holy Spirit taught me everything I needed to know. He can do the same for you, because there’s nothing He doesn’t know, and He’s more than willing to share everything He knows with His children.

The Holy Spirit unveils God’s Word to you, and also teaches you the language of the Kingdom (1 Corinthians 2:12-13). Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will teach you all things; meaning there’s absolutely no topic or subject the Holy Spirit doesn’t know. He knows everything about God, and also knows everything about Law, Science, History, Business, Aeronautics, Fashion, Cookery, the Internet and anything you can imagine, and He can teach you all of them! He can teach you better than any Professor; glory to God!

He made everything in the world, and can give you a piece of His knowledge that you need to help change your world for the better. He is the fountain of all knowledge, and if you let Him, He’ll make you a wonder in your generation.

*PROVE YOUR LOVE BY WINNING SOULS*

*To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19)*

Our evangelical responsibility is something that all of heaven takes seriously. Sadly, many don’t understand how serious this really is. There’re Christians who are still asking if whether or not someone who doesn’t win souls will go to heaven. The question to ask such people is, “If someone doesn’t love God, or love Jesus, will that person go to heaven?” That’s not going to happen.

The Bible says, “…every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him” *(1 John 5:1).* If you love the Father, you must love Jesus. *1 Corinthians 16:22* says, *“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.”* That means let him be accursed.

The proof of your love for Jesus is keeping His commandments—His Word *(John 14:15).* His Word says, *“...Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).* So you keep that word by being a soul winner. Someone might ask, “How about those who lived before Jesus came and didn’t quite have the opportunity to express their love for Him?” They had the Word of God—His laws and commandments.

Job said, *“…I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food” (Job 23:12).* Jesus is the Word *(John 1:14).* Hallelujah! Thus, every one of them had a clear opportunity to express their love for Him. He said in *Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations….”* That means make pupils of those in your world, teach them about God and the Kingdom-life, establish His Kingdom in the earth. *Your love and commitment to the Lord must reflect in your dedication to the preaching of the Gospel.*

*🗣️PRAYER*

*I love you Lord, and I boldly and

HAVE A SPIRIT OF PRAYER
(The Holy Spirit can Create for You an Atmosphere of Prayer)

📖TO THE BIBLE 1 Thessalonians 5:17 TLB
“Always keep on praying.”

▶️LET’S TALK
When I say, “Have a spirit of prayer,” I don’t mean there’s a certain angel or spirit whose name is “Prayer.” Absolutely not! I’m referring to that period when the Holy Spirit brings an overwhelming atmosphere and influence of prayer into your life, such that the urge and need to pray is so uncontrollable that you can’t but pray. That anointing rests on you and influences you over a period of time. Prayer becomes all that you think about, and that influence can stay on you for months, a year, or even longer.

This isn’t just something that happens when God chooses to; it’s what you invite, by your desire. The Bible says He satisfies the thirsty soul (Psalm 107:9). So, when you’re thirsty for Him, and you begin that fellowship of prayer, it won’t be long before that “spirit of prayer” comes on you, creating a passion and an overwhelming urge for intercession in you. You’d find that you’re constantly praying. Every now and then, the Spirit will draw your heart to His thinking—His motivations, visions, plans and purpose—expressing Himself through you in prayer. How important that is!

During the period that the Holy Spirit does this in you and through you, you’ll just know that something is about to be unleashed; something is about to be birthed. Glory to God! So, invite that spirit of prayer by plunging yourself into Him; by your strong desire; and effect changes in your life, and in the lives of others.

POWER OF A STRONG DESIRE

TUESDAY, MAY 10TH

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD… (Jeremiah 29:13-14).

God never ignores a strong desire—a strong desire to know Him, walk with Him and do His will. That strong desire births an unquenchable urge for prayer. That’s what we mean sometimes when we say someone is taken over by the “spirit of prayer.” It means the Holy Spirit has brought an overwhelming atmosphere and influence of prayer on your heart.

When that happens, prayer becomes all that you do and think about. That influence could stay on you for a protracted period of time. However, this isn’t just something that happens when God chooses to; rather, it’s what you invite by desire. The Bible says He satisfies the thirsty soul (Psalm 107:9).

When you begin that fellowship of prayer, it won’t be long before that spirit of intercession comes on you and you find that you’re constantly praying. Every now and then the Spirit will pull you to His motivations, visions, plans and purposes, the things that He cares about and wants to do. He’d be expressing Himself through you in prayer.

This is something that should be evident in the life of every Christian; a strong desire for the Lord, His Word, and His influence in your life. When you have it, you can easily influence those around you with it. So, cultivate it. Stir your heart to have a strong desire and maintain your zeal, love and passion for the Lord at all times. David, inspired by a strong desire for the Lord, said, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is” (Psalm 63:1)

🔊PRAYER
Dear Father, you’re my glory, my joy and my all; my soul pants for you much more than the deer pants after the water brooks. Thank you for your glory in my life. My desire is to know you more and fulfil

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
(There’s More to Life Than Physical Things)

📖TO THE BIBLE Luke 12:15 NIV
“He (Jesus) said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.””

▶️ LET’S TALK
Would it surprise you to know that there are people in prison today who are joyful and more at peace than many who are free and have all the nice things the heart can desire? That’s because joy isn’t dependent on your surroundings and circumstances; it’s in your spirit. This is what the apostles had, such that even when they didn’t have life’s material comforts, they remained enthusiastic about the gospel. When they were oppressed, persecuted, and imprisoned for preaching Jesus, they were full of joy. So, joy and satisfaction aren’t in material things, but from your spirit.

There’s more to life than the world’s symbols of prosperity. True prosperity is about the triumph of God’s Word in your life. It’s having God’s grace upon your life, which causes everything you’re involved with to succeed. It’s having the totality of God’s blessings and grace, and the enablement to impart the same to others also. And this brings with it happiness, peace, and fulfilment.

How prosperous do you want to be? How glorious do you want your life to be? If you’d meditate on the Word, you’ll have all-around prosperity and true satisfaction! You’ll be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit all year round! Your leaves will not wither, and whatsoever you do shall prosper. Make the Word your delight and meditation, and your life will be full of glory.

*For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened (Mark 6:52).*

In Mark 6, the Bible tells us how the disciples of Jesus were gripped with fear when they saw Him walking on the water. Why were they afraid? We find the answer in our theme verse: “…they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.”

They had seen several miracles with Jesus and the latest of such miracles was that of multiplying bread and fish to feed thousands of people (Read Matthew 14:13-21). Yet, it didn’t seem to mean anything to them; they were still hardened in their hearts. Some are like that in the Church today; not considering as they should, the miracles of Christ, performed through the Spirit today.

It reminds me of an inspiring experience I had in 1981. I was attending a crusade where the Archbishop Benson Idahosa had invited R.W Schambach who was the guest speaker on that particular night. After he had preached and prayed, there were several miracles. The first testifier to come up the platform was a young lady who had been deaf in both ears. R.W Schambach and the Archbishop Benson Idahosa tested her and confirmed she was indeed healed.

However, I observed something else that inspired me greatly: the reaction of those two great men of God to the young lady’s testimony. They both jumped and skipped like children, in celebration of that miracle. These were men of God who had seen so many mighty miracles, but it was so inspiring to see them celebrate as though that was the first or only miracle they had ever witnessed.

That’s the way it should be. Be excited always at the seemingly simple things that God does in your life and in the lives of others. Joyfully celebrate His goodness every day. There’s no such thing as a “small miracle”; every blessing from God is something to s

*STAYING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT*

Sunday, February 6th.

Pastor Chris

_*And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).*_

When I just started in ministry, whenever I had an upcoming programme or event, I always knew I had to be prepared by being filled with the Spirit. I practiced being filled with the Spirit. When I got filled like that, there was always a manifestation of the supernatural. But later on, I thought to myself, “If being filled with the Spirit every now and then could be so wonderful, how about staying filled with the Spirit?”

That power and glory that was available and in manifestation during those events, I wanted it always, for my daily life. And I discovered that being filled with the Spirit could actually be always, I went for it and stayed there! It’s like swimming: there’s a way one might swim and get drowned; there’s also a way to swim and remain afloat. I discovered I could swim in the Spirit and stay afloat.

I discovered that was what God always wanted for us: staying filled with the Spirit, which was much easier than being filled occasionally. It’s a practice. You can go from practicing being filled with the Spirit sometimes, to being filled every day; and then learn being filled always.

Study and meditate on Ephesians 5:18-21 (AMPC) to learn how to be filled and stay filled with the Spirit. It’s the best life! You can’t stay filled with the Spirit and be dominated by sickness, failure, or lack. You’d discover that your results are endlessly increasing, your life is forward and upward, and you walk in blessings only. Hallelujah!

*THE POWER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS*

Saturday, February 5th.

Pastor Chris

_*Even the righteousness of God which is by the faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference (Romans 3:22).*_

It was with the gift of righteousness that Abraham was able to intercede for S***m when God wanted to destroy the city. God had said, _*“...Shall I hide from Abraham [My friend and servant] what I am going to do”*_ (Genesis 18:17 AMPC). Abraham had become God’s friend through covenant. The Bible says Abraham believed God and it was credited to him for righteousness and he was called the friend of God (James 2:23).

That was the bestowal; the gift of righteousness was given to Abraham and he could boldly engage God in an intercessory discourse. He said to God, _*“That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”*_ (Genesis 18:25). He was presenting an argument before God.

How could a man have such incredible audacity to speak to God like that? He wasn’t trying to be disrespectful or impudent; no! He was expressing the power of the gift of righteousness. Genesis 15:6 tells us, _*“And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”*_ Hallelujah!Righteousness enables you to stand in the presence of God without a sense of condemnation or inferiority. This righteousness, according to our theme verse, is “unto all and upon all.” That’s to let you understand the bestowal, the imputation of God’s righteousness to all men—the legal perspective of this righteousness. With this gift, you can decree a thing and have it established unto you.

Our righteousness is on the basis of a legal claim, and because many aren’t aware they struggle with their faith, not sure whether or not their petitions will be granted. But when you stand on His ri
