SUNDAY SERVICE WITH PASTOR BEATRICE
TOPIC: Becoming a Model Christian -Part 2
What Builds a Model Christian?
1. Faith
Faith always works out for a model Christian . If it didn’t work, then it wasn’t faith. A model Christian uses their faith intentionally and makes it work.
Faith is not hoping or wishing for something. The fact that you need God does not mean you have faith. Hope and wishes are not faith.
Faith is also not simply believing. Although believing and faith are related, they are not the same. Believing something doesn’t guarantee you will have it , you must turn that belief into faith.
Faith is not about being good, and it is not based on emotions.
Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.
For faith to work, you need the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and an action that aligns with that Word.
The Holy Spirit activates the power in the Word, so you need Him to reveal the power and glory contained in God’s Word.
When you want to work out your faith in a situation, first find out what God says about that situation. After that, claim it using the Scripture that speaks to it.
Faith may fail to work because of:
impatience
misunderstanding the Word of God
associating yourself with things that choke the power of the Word in your life
Make sure these things are not present in your life.
As a model Christian, you grow your faith by getting knowledge of the Word of God. After knowing the Word, claim it, believe it, speak it, and act like someone who already has what they are believing for.
Dimensions of Faith
1.Little Faith:
This is when someone has faith but very little knowledge of the Word of God.Insufficient knowledge will result in having little faith .
2.Great Faith:
This kind of faith does not give up despite opposition. You hold on to what you believe. Great faith is based on the quality and quantity of the information you have received and accepted.
3 .Weak Faith:
This type of faith comes from not acting on the information you already have. How much you exercise your faith will determine how much it grows.
