Today 18th June Ulongwe parish cerebrated its feast day "the most sacred heart of Jesus" The cerebration mass was presided over by Bishop Montifort Stima of the Mangochi diocese.
At the function the bishop also offered the sacrament of confirmation to 63 Christians.

St.Micheal choir from Koche parish emerged winner in the diocesan choir festival that took place on saturday at Ulongwe Parish. St. Cecilia choir from Ulongwe parish came at position two while St. Patricks choir of Mangochi parish is on position three .There were 24 choirs that competed in this final round of the competition which started from parish level then to deanary level. The diocese of Mangochi organised the choir festival as a way to spread the message of this year's synod of the bishops

Ulongwe Parish is today Saturday 24th September hosting a diocesan choir festival. There are over 20 choirs participating in the festival. The choirs are drawn from all parishes in the diocese. The guest of honour at the function is the Vicar General of the diocese, Fr Davie Mambo.

The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) in Mangochi diocese is holding its annual general meeting (AGM). The meeting is talking place at Holycross Catholic School in Ulongwe Parish.
The meeting which started on Thursday 23rd September is scheduled to end on Sunday 25th September.
