I have always thought it right about t the place. My sister who was here in early 19 92 doing her secondary school education, used to tell me about the place. I never thought that one day it would be real for me. Of all, she used to tell me about how bad the road (Golodi) was difficult to go through, there were very few cars from Chitimba to the mission and back. The Golodi road has 2 1 bends which are tough to drive and walk through. It is a road that when you are going through by car, you are in a 5050 situation of death and life. But up the mission, it's now beautiful. The place has a very nice cool weather. A nice view of the landscape. Very friendly people and oftentimes visited by many people. Have you ever heard about it? Come and witness for yourself.

Over a hundred years now this building. Stands 1916 -2017 with its popular stainless glass window showing Dr. David Livingstone on a Chilumba background view. You can view Chilumba from stone house, Chalets and homestead.

Livingstonia chalets they provide bed and breakfast at a reasonable price. Friends from Ireland, Scotland, German, England, name it, smile with nice sleep here some times they wonder to have black out evening.

Technical college and Livingstonia Secondary school now university two decades were privileged to own two maize mill grinding mills. By now they are non functional. Livingstonia mission has a population of 5000. University has 114 workers and over 800 students. There are 10 villages surrounding with over 10000 inhabitants which should have been benefiting from these grinding mills.

12 October 1875 a ship landed on the waters of Lake Malawi. Dr. Robert Laws and the crew sung "All people that on earth do dwell." - Thank you Scotland for justly opening this mission in 1894.
