Biwi Anglican Parish-Lilongwe Biwi Anglican Church is located in Biwi, in Lilongwe City, just 4 kilometers from Old Town. Our current priest is Fr. Micheal Msakwiza.

The church is under the Diocese of Lake Malawi, which is led by the Presiding Bishop, Rt Rev Daniel Kalonga.

The Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi, Lilongwe South Archdeaconry, held Day 2 of the ST AGNES M'BINDIKIRO at St Andrews Parish, Area 44, on the theme "KUKHALA OKHAZIKIKA M'CHIKHULUPIRIRO" (Being Firm in Faith).

Preacher: Rev. Canon Maida from Kamuzu Barracks Parish.

In his sermon, Rev. Canon Maida drew lessons from 1 Kings 3:16-28, the famous Bible story where King Solomon determined the real mother of a baby. Two women claimed the same living child after one baby had died. Through wisdom, Solomon used a sword to test them and revealed the truth.

Anglican leaders have urged Malawian couples to practice faithfulness and contentment in marriage, describing it as the foundation for strong families and a key to curbing infidelity.

The call was made during the Lilongwe South Archdeaconry Mothers Union 3-day rally held at Dedza Parish over the weekend. The event ended with prayers, teachings, and fellowship aimed at strengthening women’s roles in the church and community.

Mrs. Mndala, Chairperson for Lilongwe South Archdeaconry Mothers Union, said the rally was organized to equip mothers with biblical principles to uphold marriage, spiritual growth, and community responsibilities.
