Be vigilant

“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.”
Mark 13:32‭-‬37

God wants you to be at the place he has allocated you.

God wants you to be busy with the task he has assigned you.

God wants to find you doing what he wants you to be doing.

Christ will come back suddenly. You know not the day, the hour or any details about his return. All we know is that he will come back. So stay vigilant! Be on your task! No sleeping on the job! Keep your spot!!

If you're a husband, wife or parent, keep on it vigilantly! Christ wants to find you serving your family!

If you're an employer or employee, keep on it vigilantly!

If you're a singer or a musician in a worship team, keep on it vigilantly! Christ wants to find you singing and playing!

It's such an amazing thing to wake up each morning with a realization that God is with you through His Spirit and His Word...such a truth provides hope, joy, peace, courage, comfort, & energy you need to face the day and its challenges. Hear what the Lord promises in Isaiah: But now thus says the Lord , he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: " *Fear not,* for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, *you are mine* . When you pass through the waters, *I will be with you;* and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For a man like Moses, who's life was favored by witnessing numerous Wonders of God, the burning bush 10 plagues, The parting of the red sea etc . One would be confident of the ways of God and boast how favored he was to be the leader of the chosen nation .But What he experienced wasn't it enough for him to say he mastered God's ways of doing things? By asking '' teach me your ways'' ?. Certainly this old man of God knew that 'sanafikepo' he still needed God to teach him the way he ought to go. He had a daunting task of leading the rebellious nation of Israel , He still needed God's favor. Saints we may have had some wonderful experience in our of walk faith; but this shouldn't make us feel like we've made it. We still need God to teach us how we can trust him,walk with him & how we can defeat the enemy. And surely he can't deny us the grace of finding favor in his sight if we humbly ask Him. Isaiah 1:11
The multitide of f your sacrifices, what are they to me ? Says the Lord." I have more than enough of burnt offerings ,of rams and the fattened animals ,I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats

The old covenant was characterised with offering of sacrifices, feasts and gatherings of many kinds. Why then is God rejecting & tired of the very things He commanded Judah & Israel to do?. All these services are rendered useless before God because of disobedience (idolatry, bloodshed etc .) . God is not interested much in our religious services ( attending church gatherings, kupereka chakhumi, kuimba mu Praise team) , but our love for him which can be demonstrated through walking in the path of righteousness.To obey is better than sacrifice and to heed is better than fat or rams

The problem in Genesis 4 is not about Cain's type of offering...fruits...the problem is his life. John commenting on Cain's life says..
"We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous."
1 John 3:12 ESV

If you're not rightly related with God your offerings can't be accepted
