INTRODUCTION:
Elderly and Widows Partiners (EWIP) is a pure Christian non profit making charity group that mainly targets elderly and widowed people.Its a group that has no donors.Its basic foundation and principles are the Almighty God, Faith and the Bible(the word).It will be operating under both Christian and non Christian communities alike with its main centre in Lilongwe,Malawi.But the vision
will be on spreading the word of God in the name of Jesus Christ. OBJECTIVES:
As everyone is well aware that amidst our local communities there are few or a number of men and women who are aged enough to help themselves with some small domestic chores and necessities.The society has obligations to look after them by making sure that they have basic things they need for their livelihood.They need shelter,food,clothes,health services and love.Amongst these there are women who lost their beloved ones in one way or the other.With this epidemic disease,HIV and AIDS,the number has swollen to unbearable situation that the government alone cannot root out this problemon individual basis.However there also cultural norms which marginalise some groups of people such as e,lrdely ones and widows.These people feel discriminated against that they are never given an opportunity to make decisions in a society.Hence the wish to form this group to address some needs. So with this in mind,the group EWIP intends to do the follwing in order to take a hand on behalf of the government responsibility :
1-bring them close to God as they could be facing isolation in society's beliefs and cultural norms.
2-Show them the love of to the world by providing them with some presents organised by well wishers.
3-Remind them that they are roots and source of mankind regardless of their status.
4-To encourage them to become self reliant in one way or the other and help in the development of their communities and the nation as a whole.
5-They shouldn't look down upon themselves as useless people in a a society as this may affect their health and life styles.They should involve themselves in social activities such as spiritual,politics,agriculture and many more areas that may avail as per their environment. TARGETTED AREAS:
As the group is situated in the central region it will target the semi urban and rural areas.The less priviledged people are mainly found in the rural and remolt areas.These are places where discrimination to elderly and widowed take roots due to the cultural norms that result to isolation practices taking place. Identification of Beneficiaries:
Since this is a God fearing group that is to extend its arm towards Gods own created people,He created with love and hope and it will engage its duties right into Gods home through His servants I.e.churches. These holy places clergy will be used to locate the under previledged elderly and widows as they can be trusted with transparency.So the Pastors will take this responsibility since they mix and operate closely with the community on day to day spiritual life and that they can do a good research of that kind.They are also part of the congregation in their respective denominations. More procedures will be followed in order to play a fair game to everyone. WORKFORCE:
Most of the services will be voluntary since it is a Christian nonprofit making charity group. Transaction records will be open to all donors ,friends and anyone wishing to know of it. CONCLUSSION:
The organisation is very open to assist and help anyone who befits the benefits.A Pastor,Sheikh will be involved in the activities of Elderly and Widows Partners as it's patron is GOD himself. Lastly EWIP wishes to extend an appeal to all God fearing people to HELP,ASSIST,and DIRECT us so we can reach the most vonurable and destitute people out there.The hand that giveth is more blessed than the one that receiveth.
