OPPOSE THOSE WHO OPPOSE ME
"Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me; fight against those who fight against me." Psalm 35:1 (NKJV)
There are battles that cannot be won by human wisdom, influence, or physical strength. Some battles require the intervention of the Almighty God. David understood that victory does not come by human effort alone, so he cried out to the Lord to become his Defender. The same God who fought for Israel at the Red Sea is still fighting for His children today. "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14). When God takes over your battle, what was impossible becomes possible, and what looked like defeat becomes the beginning of your testimony.
Opposition is often an indication that your destiny carries great significance. Joseph was hated by his brothers before he became a ruler in Egypt (Genesis 37:4–28; 41:39–41). David was pursued by Saul before he sat on the throne (1 Samuel 24:1–7). Daniel was thrown into the lions' den before he received greater honor (Daniel 6:16–28). Even our Lord Jesus Christ endured rejection, suffering, and the cross before His resurrection and exaltation (Philippians 2:8–11). Therefore, do not mistake opposition for abandonment. God may be preparing you for promotion.
Never forget that our greatest battles are spiritual. The people you see are not always the real enemy. The Word of God declares, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers... against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). That is why prayer is your strongest weapon. Through prayer, God releases wisdom, strength, protection, and victory. As 2 Corinthians 10:4 declares, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds."
God is the Master of divine reversal. What the enemy plans for destruction, God can transform into victory. Haman built gallows for Mordecai, but Haman himself was hanged on them, while Mordecai was publicly honored (Esther 7:9–10; 8:1–2). Joseph declared, "You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good" (Genesis 50:20). No plan of darkness can cancel the purpose of God. Isaiah 54:17 assures us, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper."
Therefore, do not seek revenge; seek God's intervention. Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Beloved, do not avenge yourselves... 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord." Continue walking in righteousness, praying without ceasing, and trusting God's perfect timing. Psalm 121:2 says, "My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." The God who defended David, delivered Daniel, promoted Joseph, honored Mordecai, and raised Jesus from the dead is still working today. He has never lost a battle, and He will not fail you.
Prophetic Declaration
I declare in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that the Lord shall arise and fight every battle confronting your life.
Every tongue that rises against you shall be condemned according to Isaiah 54:17.
Every evil counsel shall be frustrated according to Isaiah 8:10.
Every trap prepared for you shall catch its owner according to Psalm 7:15–16.
The Lord shall surround you with favor as with a shield according to Psalm 5:12.
You shall not be defeated, for "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31).
Your season of divine victory, restoration, and promotion has come, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
