Mathew 5:6-8
THE CHARACTER OF A PERSON IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

There is a hunger and thirst that only God can satisfy.

1. HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESST
• Hunger and thirst for righteousness means seeking God sincerely, not out of routine or religion.
• Just as the body cannot live without food and water, the soul cannot live without God.
• Many people are not satisfied because they try to fill their hearts with worldly things:
o Money
o Sexual immorality
o Sinful pleasures
👉 Only God can satisfy the human soul.
👉 Let your hunger and thirst be for God alone.

2. A PERSON OF THE KINGDOM IS MERCIFUL
• Mercy means showing compassion, kindness, and forgiveness to someone who deserves punishment or judgment
• People of God’s Kingdom are known by hearts full of mercy, just as God showed mercy to us.
📖 Ephesians 2:3
“We were by nature children of wrath…”
👉 Without God’s mercy through Jesus, God’s anger would still be upon us.
• Anyone who has received great mercy from God must show mercy to others.

3. PURE IN HEART
o Pure in heart means having a heart that is clean, sincere, and fully devoted to God, not just looking holy on the outside. Humans look at outward appearance God looks at the Heart.
• God rejected all of Jesse’s sons and chose David because of his heart.

Jesus calls us to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to live mercifully, and to seek purity of heart—because only God can truly satisfy, forgive, and cleanse us.
Come to Christ today, receive His righteousness, mercy, and a new heart, and you will be filled and see God.

Thank you Elder
Matthew 4:1-11.
Title: Being Faithful while in the wilderness

Main points:
1. Temptations comes even when you are in God's Will.
2. Ways that the devil uses to attack our lives.
3. The power of God's word in overcoming temptations
4. God's reward for faithfulness.

Applications:
1. How have we been faithful when we were passing through the wilderness in the year ending?
2. How are we going to be faithful when we come across a wilderness in 2026?
3. To the new couple how are you going to walk through the wilderness together?

Because Jesus tested temptation and overcomed them all:
1. We trust him (Hebrew 2:18)
2. He understands our weaknesses (Hebrew 4:15).

How can we be faithful in the wilderness?
1. By reading the word 2 Timothy 3:16
2. Submitting to God James 4:7.

In Daniel 3, three faithful men were thrown into a fiery furnace because they refused to bow to another god. What should have destroyed them became a place of divine encounter. A fourth person appeared in the fire—one like the Son of God—and because of His presence, the fire had no power over them. They were not burned, not even the smell of smoke was on them. Jesus came into their suffering and rescued them from certain death.

In Matthew 2, we see the same Jesus entering our world in a different way. Not in fire, but in humility. Not in a furnace, but in a manger. Christmas reminds us that Jesus stepped into the furnace of humanity—into sin, enemity with God, suffering, and death—not to judge the world, but to save it. Just as He stood with the three men in the fire, He came to stand with us in our brokenness.

So Christmas is not just a date on the calendar. It is a remembrance that Jesus came into the world to rescue us. The same Savior who entered the furnace in Daniel 3 entered history in Matthew 2. He is still the Rescuer today.

Good Reasons to Come to Jesus

Jesus enters our fire, He does not abandon us
Life has furnaces—trials, temptations, pain, and fear. Jesus does not watch from a distance. He steps into our struggles with us. Where His presence is, destruction loses its power.

Jesus saves us from sin and separation from God
The furnace today is not only suffering, but sin and spiritual death. Christmas reminds us that Jesus came to rescue us from what we could never escape on our own and to restore our relationship with God.

Jesus gives life, hope, and eternal security
The men in the furnace walked out alive and free. In the same way, those who come to Jesus receive new life—freedom from fear, hope for today, and eternal life beyond death.

Closing Call

Jesus was present in the furnace. Jesus was born into the world. And Jesus is present now.
The question is not whether He came—but have you accepted Him to be born in your heart?

This is the true message of Christmas.
stay blessed.

Mission Impossible

The world was given a mission—a mission of the highest importance.
The mission: Save mankind from sin and destruction.
But this mission was impossible for ordinary humans.
Adam was the first to attempt it.
He had the honor of walking with God,
But he failed.
Sin entered the world, and death followed.

Generations came and went. The people of Israel were chosen,
Yet they too could not fulfill God’s mission. Prophets came with instructions, Kings ruled with law, But the heart of man remained flawed. The mission remained impossible.

Then, God made a promise. A promise of hope.
A promise of deliverance. And in the fullness of time, He sent His own kind Jesus Christ.

Jesus came into the world as a baby, Born in a humble manger,
Announced by angels, Celebrated by shepherds.

Isaiah 9:6-7 declares His divine mission:
"For unto us a child is born, Unto us a son is given;
And the government shall be upon His shoulders. He shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." He came to be our Savior. He came to be our Redeemer. He came to be our Counselor. He came to complete the mission that man could not.

Through His birth, hope entered the world. Through His life, the impossible became possible. Through His death and resurrection, mankind was saved. Jesus took the impossible mission and accomplished it. His birth was not just a celebration—it was the answer to God’s mission.

Today, we remember that mission.
Today, we honor the Savior who made the impossible possible.
And today, we are invited to live in the victory He won for us.

📖 A Piece from Abusa ’s Preaching: “CHRIST IS MY REFUGE.”

In the time of Joshua, six cities of refuge were appointed — a shadow of Christ, established to bring justice among the Israelites. Today, Christ fulfills that same purpose for us. He is our refuge. Here’s why:

1️⃣ He Protects (Joshua 20:1–3)
Just as the cities of refuge protected the innocent from blood avengers, Christ shields us from the injustices of this world. People may judge without proof — but in Christ, there is truth, mercy, and protection.

2️⃣ He Gives Rest (Joshua 20:4–6)
When a person reached the city of refuge, they were given a safe place to stay until judgment. Likewise, Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
In Him, fear and uncertainty give way to peace.

3️⃣ He Is Accessible (Joshua 20:7–9)
The six cities were positioned so everyone could reach them easily. In the same way, Jesus is near to all — Revelation 3:20 reminds us that He stands at the door and knocks. Anyone who opens to Him will find safety and fellowship.

🙌 Brothers and sisters, Christ is your refuge.
Run to Him. Trust in Him. He will deliver you from the hands of your enemies.

Acts 28:23-31.
God wants us to believe in Jesus
There is no other kingdom apart from the kingdom of God.

In Acts 28:23–31, Paul is in Rome, under house arrest, speaking to Jewish leaders about Jesus and the Kingdom of God.

1. The Kingdom of God is open to everyone who will receive it
Paul explains that salvation through Jesus is not limited to the Jews—when many of them reject the message, he boldly declares that this salvation has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will listen (v.28).

2. God’s message continues unhindered, despite opposition
Even though Paul is under arrest, the gospel is not chained. He preaches boldly and without hindrance, showing that nothing can stop the spread of God's word when God is behind it.

3. Spiritual blindness and hardness of heart can block people from receiving the truth
Paul quotes Isaiah to show that some people's hearts are so hardened that they hear but do not understand and see but do not perceive. This is a warning that open hearts are needed to receive the gospel.
