Sabbath Sermon Reflection
Preacher: Kenneth Nyoni
Title: Dare the Throne
Key Text: Hebrews 4:16
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
What does it mean to “dare the throne”?
It means stepping before God with confidence and courage, knowing that Jesus understands, cares, and is ready to help.
Our High Priest, Jesus…
• Has passed through the heavens and now intercedes for us.
• Was tempted in every way, just like us—but never sinned.
• Understands your struggles—He’s walked your path.
• Doesn’t push you away—He invites you to come close.
Are you weighed down by guilt, shame, fear, or pain?
Jesus already bore those for you.
Through His death, He defeated the one who held the power of death—Satan himself.
God stepped into your place, so the death you deserved was put on Christ. And because of that, you can live in freedom and hope.
Even in the Old Testament, God told Moses:
“Build me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”
He wanted to be with His people—even though they were sinners.
Today, Jesus still wants to dwell in you and walk with you—no matter how far you feel you’ve gone.
Jesus sees you. He loves you.
His eyes are on you.
And He’s saying:
“Come. Dare the throne.”
“Bring that burden.”
“I have mercy waiting for you.”
Whatever you’re going through—don’t don’t stay silent.
Come boldly. Speak freely. Trust fully.
You are not alone.
Grace is waiting. Mercy is available.
Just dare the throne. Speak freely. Trust fully.
You are not alone.
Grace is waiting. Mercy is available.
Just dare the throne.
