IN LOVING MEMORY of GOGO ENIFA MUYAYA (1936–2026)
It is with deep sorrow to report about the burial of Gogo Enifa Muyaya which took place today, 6th June 2026 at Dzinda Village, Likuni. She passed away peacefully in the night of 4 June 2026 at the age of 90. It is also with heartfelt gratitude to remember her life, since she got baptised in the Seventh-day Adventist Church 60 years ago.
From that time, Gogo Enifa was a remarkable woman whose life reflected faith to God. She was a cherished great-grandmother, great mother, and a devoted church member whose influence touched many lives. Her commitment to Christ remained unwavering throughout her long and blessed journey on earth.
During the funeral ceremony, one of her grandchildren testified that she had the privilege of experiencing love and care of Gogo Muyaya. She added that her grandmother was always available for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whenever they needed guidance, encouragement, or support. Additionally, she took a special interest in their lives and always wanted the best for every member of the family.
Additionally, one of the lessons which Gogo Muyaya constantly taught her family members was to remember God before starting anything, whether it was going to school, beginning a new job, starting a business, or making important decisions. She would gently remind them to seek God's guidance first.
During the funeral ceremony, Pastor C.L. Matekenya delivered a moving message that touched the hearts of all mourners who were present. In his sermon, he reminded everyone that Jesus Christ is coming soon and encouraged all people to be ready for His return, urging them not to be consumed by the many problems and challenges of this world. Instead, he emphasized that our greatest concern should be our relationship with the
soon coming saviour, Jesus Christ so that He should find us ready.
As we say goodbye to our beloved gogo Enifa, we take comfort in God's promises and cherish the memories she left behind. We thank God for the 90 years He blessed her with and for the countless lives she touched along the way.
