21 WOMEN GRADUATE FROM 2026 DORCAS SEMINAR

21 women at Lumbadzi Seventh-day Adventist Church have graduated from the 2026 Dorcas Seminar, which was held from August 2 to 8 under the theme “Mayi wa Ngwiro,” led by Shepherdess Stella Kamgoma.

The week-long seminar focused on equipping women with spiritual, practical and physical skills to help them become a light in their homes, church and community.

Speaking during the service, Shepherdess Stella Kamgoma preached from Mark 9:14, encouraging the women to strengthen their faith and remain committed to God in their daily lives.

One of the graduates, Ellena Lungu described the seminar as fruitful, saying she had learned several practical skills, including baking, sewing and knitting, among others.

“The seminar was fruitful because I have learnt how to bake bread and how to knit. It was not only just that, I have also learnt how to do public speaking,” she said.

On Sabbath afternoon, the women had an opportunity to showcase the skills they acquired throughout the week. Following the programme, the women displayed their work and some of the food products were shared after the Sabbath.

The event shed light on the importance of empowering women with skills that can contribute to their spiritual growth, self-reliance and economic empowerment.

In her final remarks, Shepherdess Kamgoma said as Christians we need to be good people among each other today because what comes tomorrow it is only the creator that knows.
