SUNDAY SERVICE WITH PASTOR JOSEPH

THEME: UNDERSTANDING THE PLACE OF CONSECRATION

Consecration is a deliberate and intentional separation from sin and worldly patterns and committed to God alone. It means to willingly choose to be set apart for God in heart, thoughts , deeds and actions.

After salvation, a believer must intentionally consecrate himself so that is equipped and available to do God's work. God is attracted to work with people that are consecrated than those that have chosen comfort and giftings only.

THE BELIEVER'S CONCECRATION: LAYERS OF CONSECRATION

1. Purity
2. Service
3. Devotion
4. Renewing your mind
5. Sacrificial living

CONSEQUENCES OF UNCONSECRATED LIFE

1. Inconsistent spiritual disciplines like prayer, studying the word and fasting.
2. Vulnerable to sin and compromise
3. Not available to be used by God
4. Weak discernment

WHAT TO DO TO LIVE A CONSECRATED LIFE

1. Have solid commitments that you adhere to in your pursuit of God.

2. Values and Beliefs
Define your values and beliefs that you cannot compromise in the face of temptation, pleasure or opposition.

SUNDAY SERVICE WITH PASTOR JOSEPH

THEME: UNDERSTANDING THE FOUNDATION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Righteousness is the right standing before God without fear, guilty, condemnation or sin consciousness. God looks at you and see the perfection of Jesus Christ in you. It can also mean to be examined by God and be found right or in order.

FACTS ABOUT RIGHTEOUSNESS

1. Righteousness is a gift.
It is not earned by self discipline or human performance. It is not an accomplishment or reward, it is a gift that God has given us when we got born again.

2. Righteousness is by faith.
No man can achieve true righteousness by self effort or works. It is added to our account to be righteous when we believe the finished works of our Lord Jesus Christ. Anything outside faith is self righteousness.

3. Righteousness is relational
It cannot be attained outside Jesus Christ. Any righteousness that does not exalt Jesus is zeal without knowledge.

HOW DOES CHRIST MAKE US RIGHTEOUS

A. Through Substitution
On the cross, there was divine exchange. Our sin was imputed on Christ even though He did not commit any sin , and we took His righteousness. He was treated as a sinner and we were treated as righteous even though we did not do anything right.

POSITIONAL AND PRACTICAL RIGHTEOUSNESS

A. Positional Righteousness
By virtue of being born again it is imputed unto us to be righteous. God sees us perfect and flawless as Christ is.

B. Practical Righteousness
This is where the Holy Spirit works within us so that our thoughts, words and actions are transformed to reflect the righteousness that we have received. This represents spiritual growth and maturity. We are expected to pursue, seek and follow righteousness so that our conduct and behaviour displays Christ in us.

THANKS GIVING SERVICE with Pastor Mercy [28/06/2026]

‎One of the dangers in Christianity is to take the blessings of God for granted that sometimes we don't even give thanks for them.
‎
‎The story of the ten reapers,
‎the other nine did not give thanks after getting healed, but one returned and gave thanks ‎and God said you've been made whole
‎meaning it was a complete healing, he did not just heal him from reapers but from everything that was troubling him, including his finances, peace of mind.
‎
‎God expects us to give Him thanks in every circumstance After the Israelites had passed the red sea mirriam took tamborines with other women and they started dancing thanking God for the victory
‎
‎THREE CATEGORIES OF THANKFUL PEOPLE
‎
1. ‎THANK GOD AFTER THE BLESSINGS - this one it's very easy for everyone to do, after God has just blessed you you give thanks. Moses and his people sang after passing the red see.
2. ‎THANK GOD BEFORE THE BLESSINGS -this is the ability to thank God before the blessing, this is where faith comes in, you haven't seen the victory but you give thanks in advance.
3. ‎THANK GOD IN THE MIDST OF BATTLE - this is very tough to most christians. Daniel gave thanks even after knowing that he is in trouble . Paul and Silas prayed and sing hymns of thanks giving
‎
‎if you don't know the will of God just give thanks bcz that's his will

SUNDAY SERVICE WITH PASTOR JOSEPH [21 JUNE 2026]

THEME: UNDERSTANDING GOD'S KIND OF LOVE

1. Every believer has been given God's love through the presence of the Spirit in him.
2. God's love is not a feeling. It is something you practically experience beyond intellectual knowledge.
3. God's love works with patience
4. Faith is energised by love
5. God's Love endures forever

CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S LOVE

1. It is selfless: it puts the needs of others first without expecting anything in return
2. It is unconditional: it is not based on performance.
3. It is sacrificial
4. It casts out fear
5. It does not fail
6. It manifests and acts
7. It makes every spiritual discipline work

HOW TO KNOW GOD LOVES YOU

1. The revelation of the Father.
Jesus revealed God as the Father. A child does not negotiate with a father for love or care; the relationship itself provides security.

2. God becoming man/The incarnate Jesus.
Jesus is the accurate representation of the Father. In Jesus, we see the love and goodness of the Father towards us.

3. The Indwelling Spirit.
The Holy Spirit as our Comforter lives and abides in us forever

SUNDAY SERVICE WITH PASTOR JOSEPH

THEME: UNDERSTANDING FAITH

Faith is total trust and complete confidence in God. It is one of the fundamental pillars of our Christian walk.

WHAT FAITH IS NOT
1. Faith is not self-confidence.
2. Faith is not feelings, and feelings is not faith
3. Faith does not wait to see or moved by what is seen.
4. Faith is not an assumption

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT FAITH
1. Every believer has received a measure of faith.
2. Faith comes by hearing the word of God
3. We live by Faith
4. Faith shall remain forever

USE OF FAITH
1. Faith is the hand that takes hold of what Grace has offered(Salvation, justification etc)
2. We use faith to receive whatever things we desire in God
3. To receive healing
4. To please God. We can not please God outside faith.
5. Spiritual warfare. Putting on the shield of faith is what enforces victory over the enemy

HOW TO RELEASE FAITH

1. Say it
Confess the word of God in power despite contrary evidence or situation

2. Do it
Don't just claim to have faith, but take an action in obedience to His word.

3. Stand on the promises of God until there is manifestation.
