*Purpose in Your Heart.*

*Today’s Scripture:* Daniel 1:8, NKJV - But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank...

*Today’s Word:* Daniel was a Hebrew teenager who had been taken into Babylon to be trained to serve the king. But the Babylonians worshipped idols and wanted Daniel to compromise his faith by doing their rituals and customs. They tried to get him to eat the king's food and drink their wine, but Daniel had promised God he wouldn't do that. Daniel didn't let them squeeze him into their mold. He recognized that he had been set apart, and he purposed in his heart to not be common. If you read the rest of Daniel's story, you'll discover that Daniel was given great wisdom and was made the ruler of the province of Babylon.

When you choose to live uncommon--you're willing to make sacrifices that others won't make, to resist the temptation when others are giving in, to forgive when it's not fair--God will shine His favor on you. You'll have wisdom beyond your years, creativity, ideas, and ability. As He did for Daniel, God will open doors you never dreamed would open.

*Prayer for Today:* Father, thank You that I belong to You and that You set me apart to be uncommon, to be one of Your chosen ones. Thank You that I have the power to be like Daniel and purpose to not let society squeeze me into its mold. I want my life to honor You and to have Your favor shining on me. *Take the Limits Off.*

*TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:* He raised us up together with Him…that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor)… Ephesians 2:6-7, AMPC

*TODAY'S WORD:* Sometimes we think so small. We limit our possibilities and potential. When God sees you, He sees all your potential. God knows what you’re capable of. His grace and favor in your life enable you to become what He sees. But first, you have to open your heart and take the limits off your life.

How do we limit God? We limit God in our thinking. Thoughts of doubt, unbelief and unforgiveness in your heart will close the door to His favor. In Mark 6, it says that Jesus could do no great works in a particular town because of the unbelief of the people. It works the same way today. On the other hand, when you choose thoughts of faith and expectancy, you are opening the door for God to work in your life. You are taking the limits off. You are giving Him the opportunity to multiply what you have in your hand. Choose to take the limits off by choosing His thoughts of victory. Choose thoughts of increase and blessing. As you do, you’ll rise higher and higher and live the abundant life He has prepared for you!

*PRAYER FOR TODAY:* "Father, I choose faith! I choose Your unlimited grace and favor. I choose to believe that You have good things in store for me. You use me for Your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen."+265888439889

*Switch Over To The Victory Channel.*

*TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:* Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8, NKJV

*TODAY'S WORD:* It’s interesting that our mind will naturally gravitate toward the negative. One study showed how positive and negative memories are handled by different parts of the brain. A negative memory takes up more space because there’s more to process. As a result, we will remember the negative more than the positive. For example, a person will remember losing fifty dollars more than they will remember gaining fifty dollars.

Knowing this, we have to be proactive with our thoughts. When negative memories come back to the movie screen of the mind, many people pull up a chair, get some popcorn and watch them all over again. No, the point is that’s not the only channel. There’s another movie playing on a channel that’s filled with your accomplishments and victories.

Instead of staying on that negative channel, switch over to your victory channel. You’re not going to move forward into the new things God has in store if you’re always replaying the negative things that have happened to you. Instead, learn to change the channel. Meditate on victory and move forward in the victory and blessing God has in store for you!

*PRAYER FOR TODAY:* Father, today I choose to set my focus on what You’ve done in my life. I choose to change the channel in my mind from defeat to victory. I set my thoughts on Your love and thank You for Your blessing in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.+265888439889
