In the book of Psalms, chapter 51:12-13, David prays by saying "Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and let Your free spirit uphold me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall turn back to You."
These 2 verses show the strong connection between having the Joy of salvation, and a desire for soul winning. After i had just gotten born again, I remember having joy and a burning zeal within me, joy from knowing that the Lord Jesus died to to give me life. This joy gave me strength to tell others about this salvation i had just found. It is important for you to not lose the joy of your salvation. It is why after David had sinned, one of the things He so passionately asked the Lord is the JOY OF SALVATION. Losing a picture or value of this joy weakens a christian, no matter how anointed he or she may seem. This is why Nehemiah (8:10) told Israel that ".... the joy of the LORD is your strength." There is a direct connection between the Lord's joy at work in a man and the presence of the Lord's strength in him. When man loses the joy of the Lord, he is vulnerable to to seeking it from worldly things, things that never satisfy. Without the joy of salvation man loses his first love for God just like the church of ephesus: Rev 2:4 Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love. How then do you not lose sight of this joy of salvation? it is by not allowing yourself to lose focus of the cross of Christ. When you daily carry the cross in your heart, it's almost impossible for you to forget what that cross represents: your salvation. The cross always reminds you of how much value Jesus placed on you and all other people to be saved. It reminds you that you are to serve in the ministry of reconciliation. Luke 9:23 Then He said to all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and let him take up his cross daily, and let him follow Me;

When your source of motivation and inspiration is more of the world around you and less of the Lord within you, it's easy for you to suffer mood swings, disappointments, and repeated shaking of your faith. For instance, If you wait to see multiple vacancy advertisements for you to begin believing that God will provide you with a job, then you're in trouble. How many times have we blamed God for not giving us jobs, deals, and spouses that we had already believed and declared to be ours after seeing them?
GOD doesn't want to just be your Provider, He also wants to be the Source, and Way of that provision. Think of how God was able to within a few hours take a man called Joseph out of jail, create a vacancy for Him, and then make Him a prime minister (Gen 41:11-57). If you wait for multiple ways to show up for you to begin believing that God will make a way for you, then it's easy for you to feel betrayed (2 Cor 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:). If Noah had waited for cloudy skies to build an ark, He wouldn't have had enough time to build the ark, and would have had perished. Moses did not wait to see the promised land to believe God, Seeing the Lord was conviction enough about His power to save and provide for them
So many times God will overlook all the others' worldly ways, truths, and life opportunities so that He can take you to a position where you begin to see Jesus as the only Way, Truth, and Life. Many are the times we all need to go through deserts for us to know Him as the Water of Life and the Living unleavened Bread from heaven. Imagine how He did it with all the Israelites born in slavery, who grew up knowing nothing but slavery, who saw the enslavers: Pharaoh and Egypt as the only source of their everything. All of them couldn't picture life away from their bo***ge. He used their journey to physical freedom as a way of freeing them mentally, He took them through paths that He alone could be their only Way (eg. Red Sea), and their only provider (Manna).
I strongly feel we have different degrees to which we believe that Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life. This can be evident in our ability to find rest in Him, and His promises. How much does being overlooked in a business deal, or not being called for an interview shake you? The answer to this question should tell about how much you react to the world or the Word, One thing we can't change or choose is that a big side of our faith is usually reactive, however, one thing we can change or choose is Who or What we are reactive to: either reactive to the World or to the Lord. This is all entirely up to us. Due to the lack of mind transformation as prescribed on Romans 12:1-2, many well-meaning and sincere Christians have fallen victims to reacting to only the opportunities presented by the world, instead of the Truths found in the Word. Romans 8:13, For if ye live after the flesh, ye will die...

The miracles that we demonstrate or intend to show within our church halls will be no different to magic tricks if they are not built on the demonstration of the foundational nature of the Christ. Without having and showing the Love of Christ, a prophet is no different to a soothsayer, without kindness, an evangelist is no different to a doomsday conspiracy theorist, without Christ-centered charity a teacher of the Word becomes no different to a sociology expert, scriptural edification becomes no different to the words of a worldly motivational speaker, a pastor becomes no different to a selfish member of parliament. I believe that before God uses you to raise the dead, He intends to use you to show Love to the living, before He uses you miraculously multiplied fish and bread, He wants you to share the little you already have. Before using you tto heal the sick, He wants you to care for the well. Before He uses you to prophesy to the world, He wants to use you to speak words of hope and kindness to your family and your neighbor. The most prominent evidence of the presence of Christ or His Spirit thereof is Love. Reading 1 Cor 14:1 and then Mark 16:17-18, we can get the idea that we are to follow after the Christ, after Love, then these gifts, these signs, these wonders of will follow. When we stop to follow after Christ and His nature, we begin to follow after gifts, signs, miracles, and wonders, the very things which were meant to follow after us according to Mark 16:17-18.

A LOT OF CHRISTIANS ARE MORE GUILTY OF NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING THAN THEY ARE OF DOING THE WRONG THING. Christianity is not just a life of avoiding evil: murder, stealing, adultery, and fornication. It is a life of sharing the God-kind of life, showing Love, and building Godly relationships. The same God that has commanded us hate and flee evil, is the same God that has mandated us to pursue after Love and other manifestations of righteousness. When the devil can't get you into doing an absolutely wrong thing, he makes sure he keeps you busy from doing a righteous thing. In Genesis we read that the primary way in which man glorifies God is through working for GOD, avoiding sin is good but only secondary to man obeying GOD. Total victory over sin cannot be experienced by just avoiding it, but by further doing the works of righteousness. Sin isn't just doing evil, it can also be defined as not doing good just as Scripture tells us, “It is a sin when someone knows the right thing to do and doesn't do it” (James 4:17, CEB). Chances are so high that in Eden, Eve not doing what God created her to be doing, created room for the devil to giving her something to do. A lot of congregations have been destroyed by idle christian members. Hating darkness doesn't guarantee you'll have light, you need to take the step of finding and walking into the light, otherwise you can hate darkness and still be held captive by it. Isa 60:1-2 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you, For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people; but the LORD shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.

THE POWER OF INTERCESSION
Job 42:10 "After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his prosperity and doubled his former possessions." This breakthrough is recorded in the very last chapter of the book Job. It is after we read of multiple prayers that Job had prayed for himself without making much breakthrough. What's surprising about this verse was that Job's restoration manifested only when he had prayed for people who spent about 6 chapters of his book condemning him, people who we wouldn't consider worthy his prayer. There are a lot of people sincerely praying for themselves and yet so few who sincerely pray for others. Most of the burnout and frustration we see amongst Christians nowadays is a result of them only making self-centered prayers, feeling that if i pray for others, who'll pray for me. Some deceive themselves by thinking that I'll get to pray for others when my challenges and battles are over but yet we here read that despite his sores, homelessness, and poverty, Job took time to pray for people who had just finished making him feel like he's cursed by God. In John 17 we read of one of the most if not the most powerful prayers in the bible. It is where Jesus prays for us all. What makes this prayer so special is not just it's content, but also it's timing, it is made right before Jesus would be captured, rejected by the same people He's praying, falsely accused, but also later killed. 98% percent of that prayer we read of Jesus just praying for others. You have been praying for breakthrough for long, have you considered that maybe your breakthrough lies in you now starting pray for others, even those who have hurt you before. When you lovingly intercede for other people, you demonstrate the nature of Christ (Phil 2:5). Just praying only for self shows that you're being driven by the selfish nature of the sinful flesh. Today, say to yourself, I AM A PROPHETIC INTERCESSOR, DRIVEN BY THE LOVE OF GOD AND NOT THE QUANTITY AND SEVERITY OF MY PROBLEMS

The wise psalmist declared, "The SUM of Thy word is truth" (Psalm 119:160). It is deception to think that you individually know it all or can individually figure it out. Each one of us(as individual humans and individual denominations) may have a part that is true but it is not the whole truth until it is properly fitted together with the other parts of the body of Christ. Understanding and interchanging with the different camps of biblical interpretation can help us to receive the good without stumbling over the bad. Those who know the Spirit of Truth will have the faith in Him to do this. Unfortunately, those who are the most bound by fear, who need the interchange the most, will seldom have the confidence in the Holy Spirit to lead them to the truth. Those who are bound by a control spirit will have more faith in the devil to deceive them than they will have in the Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth.

The quality of any christian leadership can never better the leader's ability to follow the Christ. You are only as good a leader to the degree to which you are led by the Christ. That is why it's impossible to master the art of leading people in Christ, if you haven't mastered following the Christ.

Every time we preach to people about the importance of having human connections towards their success (ministry-wise, financial political, e.t.c success), we need to to emphasize repeatedly in BOLD to them that the *FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT CONNECTION THEY SHOULD NEVER LOSE IS THEIR CONNECTION WITH GOD*. As awkward as this sounds but, you can't allow yourself to be more attached to me as preacher at the expense of detaching yourself from the God i am preaching about, that implies you're slowly idolizing me, putting both me and yourself in jeopardy of eternal damnation. I have seen a lot of well-meaning preachers mislead some well-meaning people by the preacher's forgetting to emphasize more on the people's need to prioritize their connection with the Christ. IN THE PURSUIT OF ESTABLISHING RELATIONSHIPS WITH BIG PEOPLE, BIG PASTORS, BIG BOSSES, A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPROMISED THEIR RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE BIG GOD. When we preach about people like Joseph, Nehemiah, and Daniel, how they thrived due to human connections, we should never forget to emphasize more that all these 3 never disconnected themselves from God. The foundation of every other human relationship they established was on their relationship with God. Tell people that no matter how beneficial it looks, but if the human connection they've already, or look to establish, has or seems to be disconnecting them from God, then that human connection isn't worthy it. Tell them it is eternal stupidity and folly for them to bank their joy, hope, and salvation on the hand and heart of man. Don't ever stop preaching that, Luke 12:31 "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you." and Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?", but also Jeremiah 17:5 "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD." Have a blessed day

When eyes are taken off the Lord, when our focus is removed from seeing and wanting to see Him glorified, even the best of us can commit the worst of sins. Think of Lucifer, who despite being an angel who already had it all: basking in the Lord's glory and presence; was able to develop pride right in the throne room of heaven. Think of how David (a man after God's Own heart), was able to fornicate with another man's wife, and then still continue to attempt to cover his sin by killing the woman's husband. Think of how Peter was able to deny the Lord, not once, or twice, but three consecutive times, think of how Judas who despite belonging to the Lord's inner circles, was able to betray the Lord and then commit su***de without thinking of repentance. How friend's of God like Moses could fail to enter the promised land. How men like Abraham could give birth to nations that would for ages become a thorn and rock of offense to the promised nations. Do not be deceived, you and I are no exceptions, we can't make it in God if we don't daily consistently choose to keep our focus on Him. Everyday, the world keeps telling us otherwise, but as Isaiah asks in the 53rd chapter 1st verse: "who has believed the Lord's report?...". John 1:4, God is the Light of Life, and looking away from Him condemns us to a life of darkness. A life devoid of vision. God created us to represent Him, and we can only do so to the degree to which we look to and focus on Him (1 John 3:2-3). Being convinced He's all we need is perhaps the greatest battle of any believer. I mean, how much do we really believe in Luke12:31; "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.". Do we really believe in this to the point that it gives us peace, rest, and confidence? Or do we just believe it because it's just another verse from the book which we are called to believe. To a lot of us this is just one of the most beautiful verses in the bible and yet one of toughest to live our lives in agreement with. Ask yourself: How much of Jesus being the Way do I believe and live by? Have i not seen just as one of the ways and not the Only Way? Have i not trusted more in and alternated Him with the ways of the world more than in the Only ways? These are all very tough and uncomfortable questions, but perhaps they are all we need to begin asking ourselves if there ever is going to be a hope of people seeing us as true ambassadors of the God we so proudly preach

All things that God wants, expects and demands us to do for Him, He also wants, expects and demands that we do them in Him by His Strength and Spirit (Acts 1:8). Each and everyday, a lot of sincere people are falling victims of attempting to sincerely do things for God without His Spirit. Jesus couldn't emphasize more to His disciples about the need for them to receive the Holy Spirit before they got into ministering like Him (Acts 1:4,5). Knowledge and Passion for God are all noble possessions but without the Holy Spirit, they can alone never be good enough to get you to a point where you succeed in doing the Lord's work. Do you know how hard and impossible faith-based consistent prayer is? How hard it is to perform miracles without attempting to steal God's glory is? How hard it is to Love your enemies? How hard it is to remain holy and consecrated to the Lord when you see your spiritual father normalizing sin? Today before you attempt to do anything you consider christian, pause and ask yourself this question: AM I DOING THIS WITH AND THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT? OR IS IT JUST ME TRYING TO DO GOD'S WORK WITHOUT GOD IN IT? Christianity is impossible without both the presence and the leading of the Holy Spirit. We can never make ourselves sons of God. Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God...
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

It is an inevitable reality that moments of the great physical and psychological pain usually leads to living us in places of spiritual vulnerability. Severe Pain has led different people to different extremes of spiritual polarity. How many people have we seen encountering God as a result of them passing through pain, and, How many have we seen being possessed by different demons and devils due to moments of intense pain? Depending on what and who you submit yourself to, this vulnerability can be an opportunity for you to get closer to God, or, an opportunity for the devil to lock you in bo***ge such as bitterness and depression. The bible is filled with stories of people who some were victims of their moments of physical pain, whilst others were victors of similar experiences of pain and tragedy. Think of people such as Jabez, who allowed God to reach out to them through moments of poverty (1 Chro 4:9-10). People like Hannah who in their moments of pain became mothers to great prophets such as Samuel. The truth is, so long as we are on this earth, pain is inevitable. We can't control how or when pain comes, we can however decide what we do when this pain comes. Do we chose to sink in despair, bitterness, and depression, while we allow the devil boast and rejoice over us? Or, do we like Paul and Silas use our pain as a platform for us to minister the goodness of God: deliverance and salvation to those around us. As Isaiah 60:1-4, gloss darkness serves as an indicator of our moment to shine in the Light of the Lord. If you really LOVE GOD, THEN ALL THINGS (PAINFUL OR NOT ) WILL AND MUST WORK FOR YOUR GOOD. STOP USING YOUR PAIN AS AN EXCUSE OF BACKSLIDING (Romans 8:28)

IT EASIER TO HAVE FAITH THAT GOD HAS THE POWER TO ANSWER OUR PRAYER THAN TO HAVE FAITH IN THE TRUTH THAT HE HAS HIS OWN WAY OF ANSWERING OUR PRAYER. Complete faith in God is not just about believing He can do it, it is also believing He has a better, more perfect WAY of doing it: a WAY usually better than how we want Him to do it. (Jer 29:11). A story is a told of a daughter who struggled with low self-esteem and suicidal thoughts. She never liked reading the scriptures. In the hope of boosting her self-esteem and status amongst friends, she asked her father for one of the latest models of cars as a graduation gift, with the confidence he could do it. During her graduation, she only received a bible as a gift which to her frustration she threw away amongst her old books. Years later after her marriage being rocked to the point of divorce, she decided to not only end it but also end her own life by drinking poison. When she was searching for the poison, she ended up finding the bible her father gave her as a gift, she attempted to read it in the hope of finding hope, it was only upon opening that she discovered the keys to the car she had asked for. There are a lot of us failing to get our answers from God because we have limited God to answer us according to the suggestions, we've given Him. How many young people have ended up with wrong spouses despite them asking God for spouses? Most of them it was down to them already having a man or woman they were forcing God to approve of, so even if God had shown them someone else, they couldn't have had seen the person God was showing and giving them. Dear Christian, in everything we ask from God, God desires to use it to help us know Him more. If the answer you think you've gotten seems to push you away from Him, then chances are that it's not from Him (Pro 10:22).
