Through the Deaf Bible Society's Sign Language Bible Translation Project, Deaf people around the world are gaining access to God's Word in their heart language.

In Malawi, we are grateful to be part of this life-changing initiative. The Malawi Sign Language Bible Translation Project is transforming the spiritual lives of Deaf people by making Scripture accessible, understandable, and meaningful in their own language.

This is more than a translation projectโ€”it is bringing hope, strengthening faith, and ensuring that Deaf people can experience God's message without barriers.

Thank you to the Deaf Bible Society and all partners for investing in the spiritual growth of the Deaf community in Malawi and beyond.

๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ“– Exciting News! ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŽ‰

We are overjoyed and deeply humbled to celebrate the publication of the Book of Jonah in Malawian Sign Language! ๐Ÿ™Œโœจ

Every single day, more verses are being translated, bringing Godโ€™s Word closer and more accessible to the Deaf community. This journey has been filled with faith, dedication, and Godโ€™s amazing guidance.

We give all the glory to God for His strength, wisdom, and blessings throughout this mission. ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

On Saturday, 21st March 2026, the Malawi Translation Team traveled to Chitipa District to conduct a community check. Chitipa is one of the most remote and hard-to-reach districts in the country. The team endured approximately 24 hours of travel to reach the area, demonstrating strong commitment and determination to ensure that the Word of God reaches every part of Malawi.

Despite the long and challenging journey, the mission was a success. All video content from the Book of Ruth, Chapters 1 and 2, was reviewed and approved by the community. This marks an important milestone in making Scripture accessible in Malawian Sign Language.

We sincerely thank the Deaf Bible Society (DBS) for their continued support, which made it possible for the team to reach such a remote location and carry out this important work.

As it is written in The Holy Bible, โ€œHow beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!โ€ (Romans 10:15).

On 17 January 2026, the Malawi Bible Translation Team conducted a successful community check as part of our ongoing work. In the first months of this year, we are developing a dictionary from the books of Genesis, Jonah, and Ruth, which will support our translation process and speed up community-level approval of signs.

So far, 250 words have gone through community check โ€” 226 have been approved, while the remaining words are being revised based on community feedback.

We sincerely appreciate all members who participated in this noble task. Our goal is to ensure that Godโ€™s Word reaches Deaf people in the language they understand best. Together, we are empowering the Deaf community spiritually. ๐Ÿ™
