TOPIC: *MINISTRY IS NOT A RACE AGAINST OTHER PASTORS*

Galatians 6:4–5, John 21:21–22
When Peter asked Jesus about John’s future, Jesus replied, “What is that to thee? Follow thou me.” (John 21:22).
This shows clearly that ministry is personal. It is a calling — not a competition.

1. Every Pastor Has a Different Assignment
No two callings are exactly the same.
Jeremiah was sent to nations.
David was sent to a kingdom.
Peter was sent to the Jews.
Paul was sent to the Gentiles.
You cannot compare different assignments.

2. Comparison Breeds Competition
When pastors compare:
Attendance
Offerings
Church buildings
Social media presence
It leads to jealousy, insecurity, and unnecessary pressure.
2 Corinthians 10:12 says those who compare themselves among themselves are not wise.

3. God Measures Faithfulness, Not Size
In Matthew 25, the master rewarded servants based on faithfulness — not who had the most.
He said, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Not “well done, biggest servant.”

4. Competition Destroys Relationships
When ministry becomes a race:
Unity suffers
Brotherhood dies
Suspicion grows
Dishonor increases
Psalm 133 reminds us that blessing flows where there is unity.
5. Focus on Your Lane
Just like in athletics, runners win by staying in their lane.
If you leave your lane to look at others, you lose focus.
Your race:
Your grace
Your capacity
Your timing
Your calling

6. Celebrate Other Pastors
Instead of competing:
Pray for them
Support them
Learn from them
Celebrate their growth
Another pastor’s success does not reduce your calling.

CONCLUSION------
Ministry is not about who is bigger, faster, or more popular.
It is about obedience, faithfulness, and finishing your assignment.
At the end, God will not ask: “Why were you not like Pastor A?”
He will ask: “Did you fulfill what I gave you?”
Stay faithful. Stay focused. Stay humble.

# **Love Beyond Lip-Service **(1 John 3:18)

**1 John 3:18 **— *“Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”*

The Apostle John, with the tender heart of a father, addresses the church as his "little children." Yet, within this gentle greeting lies a sharp and vital corrective. A profession of love without a demonstration of love is like a perfume without a fragrance—it is a deceptive and ultimately useless imitation.

**The Performance of Piety vs. The Proof of Life**

The world today is prone to performative piety and empty rhetoric that it is easy to "talk" a good game of Christian charity. However, John warns that our love must never be an anemic, intellectual assent. This verse resonates deeply with the biblical truth that while we are saved by **faith alone**, the faith that saves is **never alone**. As James famously declares, "faith apart from works is dead" (James 2:26). Our deeds do not earn our salvation, but they are the Spirit-empowered evidence that a saving work has truly been accomplished in the heart.

# # **The Cross as our Paradigm**

When John calls us to love "in deed," he points us back to the Cross. True love is not arbitrary philanthropy; it is a sacrificial, tangible response to the Gospel. Christ did not merely "talk" about His love for the elect; He "laid down His life for us" (1 John 3:16). The Cross is the ultimate paradigm of love in action. If the love of God truly dwells within us, it must "concretize" itself in our conduct. We are called to be a people whose hands move in sync with our tongues.

# # **Love in Sincerity and Truth**

To love "in truth" speaks to the motive behind the deed. It is possible to perform "good works" out of a desire for human praise or a sense of legalistic obligation. But "truthful" love flows from a heart genuinely committed to Christ and His commands. It is unwavering, faithful, and without guile. This sincerity guards us against the leaven of hypocrisy and ensures

TOPIC * HOW PASTORS CAN PROTECT THEIR MARRIAGE*

Pastors face unique pressures — spiritual warfare, emotional demands from members, financial stress, and constant public visibility. If not handled carefully, these pressures can affect their marriage.
Here are practical and spiritual ways pastors can protect their marriage:

1. Put Your Marriage Before Ministry
Your first ministry is your home.
Don’t sacrifice your spouse on the altar of church work.
Remember: a successful church is not worth a broken home.
Schedule time for your spouse like you schedule meetings.
1 Timothy 3:5 – If a man cannot manage his own house, how can he care for the church?

2. Pray With Your Spouse
Don’t only pray for members—pray with your spouse.
Have regular family altar time.
Discuss spiritual matters together.
Cover your marriage in prayer.
A praying couple builds spiritual unity.

3. Maintain Strong Boundaries With the Opposite S*x
This is one of the biggest dangers in ministry.
Avoid private counseling with the opposite s*x behind closed doors.
Avoid emotional closeness with church members.
Keep communication transparent.
Don’t hide phone calls or messages.
Many pastoral falls start with “just counseling.”

4. Protect Family Time
Church work can be endless.
Take days off.
Go on vacations.
Attend your children’s important events.
Turn off ministry calls sometimes.
Your spouse must not compete with church members for attention.

5. Communicate Openly About Ministry Pressure
Don’t suffer silently.
Share your burdens with your spouse.
Let them understand church challenges.
Listen to their concerns too.
Your spouse should be your safe place.

6. Avoid Over-Familiarity With Members
Some members may:
Flatter you excessively
Seek special attention
Create emotional dependency
Keep relationships healthy and professional.

7. Handle Conflicts Maturely
Ministry stress can cause irritability.
Don’t transfer church frustration to your home.
Apologize quickly when wrong.
Resolve issues privately.

GOOD MORNING TO EVERYBODY .

IS DRINKING ALCOHOL A SIN? — LET’S BE HONEST WITH SCRIPTURE?

This question has been over-spiritualized and misrepresented.
Let’s deal with it plainly and biblically.

First truth
Drinking alcohol in itself is not called sin in the Bible.

In First Epistle to Timothy 5:23:
“Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake…”

Apostle Paul actually recommended it for health reasons.

So what's the problem
The issue is not drinking—
it is drunkenness and lack of control

In Epistle to the Ephesians 5:18:
“Do not be drunk with wine, wherein is excess…”
Notice;
It did not say:
“Do not drink wine”
It says:
Do not be drunk, why?

Because drunkenness:
affects your judgment,
removes self-control,
leads to wrong actions

Also
In Epistle to the Galatians 5:21:
“Drunkenness… shall not inherit the kingdom of God”
That’s about a lifestyle of uncontrolled living.

So what's the balance?
You are not under law,
But you are not without wisdom

In First Epistle to the Corinthians 6:12:
“All things are lawful… but I will not be brought under the power of any”

Anything that:
controls you,
dominates you,
weakens your discipline
Becomes a problem.

IN CONCLUSION
Drinking is not called sin,
Drunkenness is clearly warned against,
Self-control and wisdom are required

FINAL WORD
You don’t need alcohol to live right—
and you don’t need to condemn others to feel righteous
But be wise:
not everything that is allowed is beneficial
Guard your body. Guard your mind.

*TODAY'S MESSAGE OF GOD*
“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Book of Psalms 118:24

Today is not just another day, it is a divine appointment.
No matter what this past week looked like, today is a reminder that:
God is still on the throne
His mercy is still speaking for you
His grace is still sufficient
His plans for you are still good
Sunday is a day to reset, to refocus, and to reconnect with God. Lay down every burden, every worry, and every fear before Him.

As it is written in Book of Isaiah 40:31, those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. That means new strength for new battles, new grace for new opportunities, and new favor for new doors.

*LET US PRAY*🙏
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this beautiful Sunday. I declare that today will bring peace, joy, restoration, and open doors. Every challenge ahead of me is already defeated. I walk in divine favor, protection, and supernatural breakthrough. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

When the power of the Holy Spirit is upon you, your life cannot remain the same. The Bible shows us clear signs of what happens when the Spirit of God moves in a person’s life.
Here are some things that happen:
1. You Receive Boldness
In Acts of the Apostles 1:8, Jesus said you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. That power gives you courage to speak, stand for truth, and witness without fear.
2. You Experience Inner Transformation
The Holy Spirit changes your heart. Old habits begin to fall away. Your character starts reflecting love, peace, patience, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
3. You Gain Spiritual Sensitivity
You become more sensitive to God’s voice. Prayer becomes deeper. Worship becomes real. You start discerning what is right and wrong more clearly.
4. You Walk in Authority
Just like the disciples in Acts of the Apostles, when the Spirit came upon them, they healed the sick, cast out demons, and performed miracles through God’s power.
5. You Carry God’s Presence
The Holy Spirit brings peace even in difficult times. People around you may feel the difference because you carry the presence of God.
6. You Have a Strong Desire for Holiness
Sin becomes uncomfortable. You desire righteousness and obedience more than before.

*Let us pray🙏*

Heavenly Father,
Today I declare that I am filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. As Your Word says in Acts of the Apostles 1:8, I receive power to overcome, power to stand firm, and power to be a witness of Your glory.
I declare that fear has no place in me. Weakness has no authority over me. The Spirit of the Lord strengthens me, guides me, and empowers me daily.

I walk in boldness.
I walk in wisdom.
I walk in divine favor.
I walk in holiness.

Every limitation is broken. Every chain is destroyed. The fire of the Holy Spirit is alive in me.
I declare that my life will reflect love, peace, patience, kindness, and self-control. I am led by the Spirit, directed by the Spirit, and protected by

Understanding Church Leadership in the Dispensation of Grace
📖 “And he gave some, pastors and teachers…” — Ephesians 4:11 (KJV)

🔰 INTRODUCTION

Confusion about church leadership often comes from importing Israel’s structures, denominational traditions, or hierarchical systems into the Church today. In the Dispensation of Grace, Paul provides clear instruction on leadership function, character, and doctrine—not titles for power, but roles for edification.

⚠️ Authority in the Body of Christ is functional and doctrinal, not ceremonial or hierarchical.

1️⃣ PURPOSE — Why Leaders Exist
📖 Ephesians 4:12 | 1 Corinthians 12:7

🔹 Leaders exist to perfect the saints
🔹 Leaders exist to edify the Body
🔹 Leaders exist to serve, not rule
➡️ Leadership is for building believers, not building empires.

2️⃣ PASTORAL FUNCTION — Shepherding the Local Flock
📖 Ephesians 4:11 | 1 Peter 5:2

🔹 Feeds the flock with sound doctrine
🔹 Guides the local assembly
🔹 Cares personally for spiritual needs
➡️ The pastor’s role is relational and instructional.

3️⃣ PASTORAL FOCUS — Teaching and Tending
📖 1 Timothy 4:13 | 2 Timothy 4:2

🔹 Preaches the Word faithfully
🔹 Teaches grace truth consistently
🔹 Protects the flock from error
➡️ A pastor must be more than inspiring—he must be instructing.

4️⃣ BISHOP’S FUNCTION — Overseeing with Accountability
📖 1 Timothy 3:1–2 | Titus 1:7

🔹 Oversees church order
🔹 Guards doctrinal direction
🔹 Provides spiritual supervision
➡️ A bishop is an overseer, not a superior ruler.

5️⃣ BISHOP’S RESPONSIBILITY — Doctrine and Discipline
📖 1 Timothy 5:19–20 | Titus 1:9

🔹 Upholds sound doctrine
🔹 Corrects leadership error
🔹 Maintains order in the assembly
➡️ Oversight preserves purity and peace.

6️⃣ ELDER’S FUNCTION — Mature Spiritual Guidance
📖 Acts 14:23 | 1 Peter 5:1

🔹 Guides by experience
🔹 Counsels with wisdom
🔹 Supports pastoral leadership
➡️ Elders lad primarily by example, not position.

THE ATTITUDE OF GIVING

Proverbs 3:9 (KJV)
“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:”

INTRODUCTION:
Beloved church, giving is not just about what we give, but how and why we give.
In the Bible, God is never impressed by the amount alone, He looks at the heart behind the offering.
Proverbs 3:9 teaches us that giving is an act of honor, not an obligation; a response of love, not pressure. Our attitude in giving reveals our understanding of who God is in our lives.

I. GIVING IS AN ACT OF HONOR TO THE LORD
“Honour the LORD with thy substance…”
The word honour means to give weight, value, and respect. When we give, we declare that God is first and worthy.
We honour God not only with words, but with our resources.
Giving is worship in action.
What we value most is revealed by where we invest our substance.
Right attitude: “I give because God deserves the honor.”
Matthew 6:21 (KJV) “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

II. GIVING INVOLVES TRUST AND FAITH
“…with the firstfruits of all thine increase.”
Firstfruits mean giving first, not leftovers. It is an expression of faith, trusting God before all needs are met.
Giving first says, “God, I trust You as my Provider.”
It acknowledges that all increase comes from Him.
This attitude says: “Even before I see the future, I trust the Giver of all blessings.”
Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

III. GIVING REFLECTS GRATITUDE, NOT GRUDGING
God is not pleased with forced or complaining giving.
2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV) “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
The right attitude of giving is:
Cheerful, not pressured
Willing, not forced
Thankful, not complaining
When we truly understand what God has done for us, giving becomes a joy, not a burden.

IV. GIVING RECOGNIZES GOD AS THE SOURCE
We do not give to ma
