Today 22nd December 2025 Tsogolo Lowala Deaf Foundation together with other invited organisations namely the Federation of Disability Organizations in Malawi FEDOMA, The Bible society of Malawi, Sign language Inclusive For Development SLID and others attended an end of the year get together or Christmas party organized by the Livingwaters Church Chimwankhunda in Blantyre.
Bible Society's of Malawi was represented by Pastor Kansilanga and his team.
The Executive Director of FEDOMA Mr Symon Munde said that many churches in Malawi few recognizes the importance of inclusion. He went further saying Person with disability particularly those with hearing disability are mostly excluded in worship and leadership positions altogether. They think that Sign Language is not important and they keep their Deaf members on backbenches during prayers. He praised Livingwaters Church for involvement of Deaf people in prayers and even in its leadership with an impact where the church has elevated its Deaf members to leadership position. He cited the elevation of Reveland F***y GWENGWE a Deaf woman from her pastorship position to a Reveland rank. Reveland F***y GWENGWE is also Tsogolo Lowala Deaf Foundation Executive Secretary as well.
Bishop Amos Benjamin detailed the history of Deaf involvement in the church and expressed his joy to the work of Bishop Zalira since 2017 for the church in Deaf evangelism and added that the church is now growing in Number of Deaf members. He went further saying that Reveland F***y Gwengwe has made the Church proud and they will continue to support Deaf ministry so that they are available to Deaf community spritual needs wherever they go.
Tsogolo Lowala Deaf Foundation family expressed willingness to work closely with the church and any other so that all Deaf people are freely available to their God and choice wherever they live. TSOGOLA family commended living waters church to continue the good work.
Livingwaters Church of late offers interpretation service, outreaches to Deaf people and teaching hearing members basic sign language so that they ably communicate within the church with their Deaf members during their preaching.
