The Archdiocese of Blantyre Young Christian Workers (YCW) is a youth movement within the Catholic Church and an affiliate of the Young Christian Workers Malawi Movement (YCW Malawi). YCW Malawi is a member of the International Coordination of Young Christian Workers, an international body of all YCW movements in the world. YCW members are Catholic youths mainly of ages between 18 to 40. YCW has me

mbership in 7 deaneries namely Mwanza, Lunzu, Mulanje, Phalombe, Thyolo, Limbe and Blantyre. YCW is action oriented and is guided by the reflective motto "See, Judge and Act". YCW members are involved in a number of activities including social and gospel inquires, charity works, conservation of the environment and AIDS awareness. Founded in 1924 by a Catholic Priest Joseph Cardijn, the movement was specifically aimed at dressing the needs of young working people. Today YCW members live to carry on this dream. Repeating Cardijn's words, "We are setting out to conquer the world" and we are YCW.
