Today, Prison Fellowship Malawi honored and celebrated a man whose life and leadership have profoundly shaped our ministry for nearly two decades.

Mr. Rodrick Zalimba, who joined the organization in 2006, now transitions from his role as Executive Director to take up a new continental assignment as Africa Manager for Prison Fellowship International.

Mr. Zalimba’s journey with us has been one of vision, courage, and unwavering dedication to the call of restoring hope to the incarcerated, their families, and communities affected by crime. His leadership has left a legacy that will continue to guide and inspire us for many years.

Throughout his tenure, he has elevated ministry fundraising by building authentic relationships, inspiring trust, and mobilizing resources that enabled Prison Fellowship Malawi to grow, reach more lives, and expand its national footprint. He strengthened corporate governance by championing structures and systems that reflect integrity, accountability, and excellence, ensuring that the ministry stands firm on principles that honor both people and purpose. Rodrick has also transformed administration and organizational culture with a steady, thoughtful, and visionary approach that empowered teams, nurtured leaders, and positioned the institution for long-term stability.

At the heart of his service lies an unshakable commitment to building resilient and sustainable ministries capable of breaking the global cycle of crime. He has consistently reminded us that true transformation begins with compassion, justice, and the belief that every person, regardless of their past, deserves dignity and a second chance.

As he steps into his new role with Prison Fellowship International, we celebrate not only his achievements, but the spirit in which he achieved them: humility, faith, wisdom, and a passion for restoring broken lives.

We send him forth with deep gratitude, immense pride, and our heartfelt prayers.

May this next chapter amplify his impact across Africa and continue the work of bringing light where it is most needed.

Please join us in honoring and congratulating Mr. Rodrick Zalimba on this well-deserved milestone.

Rodrick, your legacy remains

🎄🌟 Angel Tree and Early Christmas Celebrations by Prison Fellowship Malawi 🌟🎄

Today, we held a truly special event at the Prison Fellowship Malawi campus, bringing together families and children from three districts for an inspiring Angel Tree and Early Christmas Celebration. This joyous occasion was made possible thanks to the incredible support of our generous donors, including Prison Fellowship International, our mother body, and the Barth family from the Netherlands, whose contributions played a significant role in ensuring the success of this event.

The day was filled with love and togetherness as we handed out food packages to families, brightening their festive season. The celebration also featured amazing performances by the Cecilia Youth Center, who not only entertained us but also generously donated items to be shared with the children of incarcerated parents.

We were honored to have distinguished guests in attendance, including representatives from the District Social Welfare Office, Balaka Police, Chief Chauluka, and other stakeholders, who joined us in marking this special occasion. Residents from the Halfway House program were also present, sharing in the spirit of community and transformation.

This event was a testament to the power of unity, generosity, and the true meaning of Christmas. A heartfelt thank you to all who made this day possible! Together, we continue to show that love and justice meet in everything we do.

A Grateful Heart for NBS Bank’s Compassionate Support

Today, Prison Fellowship Malawi is filled with gratitude as NBS Bank has shown immense kindness by donating maize bags to the children of prisoners under the Child's Journey program. For many of these children, whose lives have been shaped by hardship and loss, this gift means more than just food — it represents hope, care, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

At a time when their needs are greatest, NBS Bank’s timely support reminds us all of the power of community and shared responsibility. Your generosity has not only lightened their load but has also brought smiles to their faces, reminding them that they are not forgotten.

We deeply thank NBS Bank for this life-changing act of compassion, and we call on other stakeholders, partners, and well-wishers to emulate this extraordinary example. Together, we can continue transforming lives, one act of kindness at a time.
