✨USJ Chaplaincy Monthly Gathering✨

On 2nd May, our chaplaincy joined the Fatima Parish youth group for a barbecue night filled with prayer 🙏, fellowship 🤝, and fun 🎉.

Our chaplain, Fr. Michael IVE, who is also the parish priest of Fatima Church, gave our students a tour of the church ⛪.

We prayed together with the priest, nuns, and youth group, enjoyed a delicious BBQ 🍖, and shared joyful moments through games 🎲 and fellowship.

We also celebrated our May birthday stars 🎂 with a delicious cake 🍰, making the evening even more special. 😆🎉🥳✨

✨On the 16th of April, 2025, the USJ community gathered at the Ilha Verde Campus for a double celebration. We joined together in prayer and thanksgiving for an Easter Mass that also marked the historic 30th Anniversary of the University of Saint Joseph.

The liturgy was presided over by our Bishop and University Chancellor, D. Stephen Lee, marking this joyful occasion with a profound sense of faith, history, and unity. ✨

✨On the morning of March 19, 2026, a Holy Mass was celebrated at the Holy Cross Chapel in honor of the Solemnity of our patron, St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.✨

Presided over by our chaplain, Fr. Michael IVE, the celebration gathered the community in prayer, marking this special feast with reverence and gratitude.

May the example of St. Joseph continue to guide us in faith, humility, and steadfast devotion. 🙏✨✝️🌿

Fr. Mike Cheung IVE, our USJ Chaplain, opened the evening with a prayer 🙏, followed by Fr. Nataniel's sharing about happiness—a perfect reflection to start this new year! ❤️✨

We celebrated our December & January birthday stars with a delicious cake made by an Indonesia faithful! 🎂🎉🥳🌮

Then, our Chaplain led an exciting and fun game—laughter filled the room, and the lucky winner group walked away with prizes! 😄🏆

On the 6th of January 2026, a Holy Mass was offered at the Holy Cross Chapel for Christmastide. It was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Franz Gassner SVD, the Coordinator for the Master of Philosophy and Bachelor of Philosophy Programmes, with the presence of other priests, professors, students, and alumni. Fr. Gassner, in his homily, stressed on the loving, caring, and sharing nature of the Nativity and Epiphany which should be our oriented SOP of daily life.

✨ USJ Chaplaincy’s Tacos Night 🌮✨

✨Last Friday, 21 November 2025, we had an awesome Tacos Night together!✨

Fr. Mike Cheung IVE started us off with the opening prayer, then Sr. Adviento SSVM gave a short sharing about facing difficulties and how it’s okay to ask for help—a reminder that none of us walks alone 🙏❤️

We surprised all the October & November birthday celebrants with a big celebration🎂🌮🎉🥳

After that, ou chaplain led a bunch of fun games, tons of laughter everywhere, and some lucky winners walked away with prizes! 🏆😄

Thanks to everyone who came and made the night so great!

On the 16th of September, 2025, a Holy Mass for the new academic year was celebrated at the Holy Cross Chapel at USJ's Ilha Verde Campus, presided by our Bishop and University Chancellor, D. Stephen Lee. Students and staff came together to entrust this year to God, offering our aspirations and journey ahead.✨🙏🏼
