Shwe Dagon Pagoda is the very first pagoda in the world and it has been standing at the center of Yangon for more than 2600 years. The Shwedagon Pagoda (ရွှေတိဂုံစေတီတော်) is a 99 metres (325 ft) gilded pagoda and stupa located in Yangon, Burma. This pagoda is considered as one of the most sacred pagodas for all Buddhist enshrining the relics of the past four Thatagatas: the staff belonging to Ka

kusandha, the water filter used by Koṇāgamana, a piece of the robe of Kassapa and (eight) strands of hair from Gautama. Historically, the Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the first Buddhist stupas to be constructed in the Buddhist Era.
