With a discerning spirit, we can identify the motives that drive someone's behavior, such as how hypocritical people tend to speak the truth with the intention of judging others.

God's Word makes it clear that we can judge rightly (John 7:24). However, we are not to condemn nor to be judgmental (Matt. 7:1-5).

Rather, we should be discerning to distinguish good from evil, right from wrong, and the Spirit of God from evil spirits. (Read Heb. 5:14, Phil. 1:9-10, 1 John 4:1).

Moreover, we must ensure that we know the truth and understand the whole story to judge by WHAT IS RIGHT.

The bottom line is that our judgments should be based on objective truth.

Knowledge without wisdom makes you arrogant. Faith without action makes you hypocritical.

Wisdom is not how much you know. Someone can be knowledgeable without being wise.

Wisdom is often defined as the ability to apply knowledge in practice.

Wisdom is not just about knowing the right thing to do; it is about knowing how to do the right thing and choosing to do it ethically.

True wisdom comes from knowing God and His ways revealed in the Scriptures that leads to trusting Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.

True wisdom is recognizing God's sovereignty, providence, and holiness that leads to making the right choices and living an obedient, righteous, and honorable life.

True wisdom is knowing God's purpose for your life that leads to living intentionally in pursuit of God's calling on your life.

True wisdom is a divine gift and attribute, characterized by purity. It exhibits virtues of peace, gentleness, openness, reasonableness, mercy, good fruits, impartiality, and without hypocrisy. (cf. James 3:17)

Godly wisdom is pure in moral principles and devotional practices.

The quality of their lives, the depth of their relationships, and the way they treat others and handle life’s challenges define wise people.

True wisdom is the ability to integrate your faith with your life and work. Because true faith is grounded on the absolute truth and a factual truth.

True faith is demonstrated by the works you do. Because what you do reveals what you believe.

Faith and wisdom are intertwined and essential for a balanced and fulfilling life.

"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." (John 7:24)

God's Word makes it clear that we can judge rightly. However, we are not to condemn or be judgmental (cf. Matthew 7:1-5). Rather, we should be discerning. We are to make sure that we know the truth and understand the whole story so that we may judge righteously.

A fool judges based on assumptions, whereas a sage judges in righteousness. A shallow person judges based on appearance, whereas a perceptive person judges based on character.

Ultimately, our judgments should be based on truth. We are to judge rightly based on God's righteousness, not self-righteous legalism; on an accurate understanding of God's revealed truth, not censorious heresy-hunting; and on our intimate relationship with God as a fully devoted follower and imitator of Jesus Christ.
