The Prayer of Jabez
In the early days of the Evangelical Methodist Church, Rev. Dr. Rualthankhuma composed a hymn inspired by the Prayer of Jabez. From that time onward, the hymn was faithfully sung at every daily prayer gathering, becoming a cherished part of the church's worship and prayer life.
Among those who regularly sang this hymn were Rev. Darrothanga, Rev. Dr. Rualthankhuma, Pu Zaliana, Pu Lalzahngaia, Pi Sawikungi, and Pi Lalhmingthangi. Today, only Pu Zaliana and Pi Lalhmingthangi remain with us, while the others have entered into their eternal rest with the Lord.
The faithful prayers of these servants of God have left a lasting legacy. Through their dedication and God's abundant grace, the Evangelical Methodist Church has continued to grow and become known to many.
We give thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness and look forward with confidence, trusting that He will continue to bless and expand His Church in the years to come.
