Mount Popa, Myanmar (Burma) Mount Popa is an extinct volcano (1518 metres above sea level) located in the Pegu Range of central Myanmar (Burma) about 50 km southeast of Bagan.

Popa Taungkalat monastery features a shrine to the 37 key Burmese 'nats' or animist spirits.
