In Madagascar, church leaders, youth representatives and community members are working together to make that vision a reality.
After years of devastating cyclones, floods, and droughts, the Anglican Church in Madagascar - the Eklesia Episkopaly Malagasy - is taking important steps to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience. Through a unique learning partnership, leaders from across the country are developing practical plans to help communities respond more effectively before, during and after emergencies.
One participant put it simply: “Once we change the mindset around the importance of disaster resilience, anything is possible.”
