Prayer for Monday, August 24th

Prayer for Forgiveness and Inner Healing

Heavenly Father,
We come to you today with open and heavy hearts. We ask for your mercy. Wash us clean of our wrongs, and heal the deep wounds inside our souls. Give us the strength to let go of pains and to forgive both ourselves and those who have hurt us. Lord, we are truly sorry for the times we failed you, for the wrong choices we made, and for the pains we caused others. Thank you for your promise to forgive us and wash away our shame. Help us to stop punishing ourselves for past mistakes and accept the clean slate you give us. Please Lord, release resentment, heal memories, renew our spirits. Help us let go of guilt and rest in your grace. Give us peace that calms our anxious hearts. Fill us with your love so we can show mercy to others. In Jesus 'name we pray Amen 🙏

" BELIEVERS ARE FAITHFUL IN THEIR SERVICE"
August 24,2026
✨️1 Kings 2:1-4[NIV]
[1]When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.
[2]“I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man,
[3]and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go
[4]and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: ‘If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’
AMEN

Weekly Sermon August 23rd

Believers are faithful in their Service

John 17: 1-5
Sermon: Jesus ' prayer for Glory
Introduction:
John 17 is often called the High Priestly prayer of Jesus. Just before His arrest and crucifixion Jesus prayed to the Father, in V1-5 ,He prayed first for Himself, not out of selfishness but so that through his glory, the Father would be glorified and people would receive eternal life.
1- Jesus sought the Father 's glory V1
Jesus knew that his time to suffer on the cross had arrived. The cross would reveal God's love justice, and power. Jesus 'greatest desire was to bring glory to the Father.
Application:
As Believers, our lives should also bring glory to God. In our words, actions and service ,we should seek God's honor rather than our own
2- Jesus gives Eternal life V2-3
Eternal life is not only living forever;it is having a personal relationship with God through Jesus. Salvation comes by knowing and trusting Him
Application:
The greatest gift we can receive is Eternal life through Christ. We should also help others come to know Him
3- Jesus completed His mission V4
Jesus faithfully completed the work the Father entrusted to Him. He obeyed God perfectly
Application:
God has given Believers a purpose. We should faithfully finish the work He has called us to do, trusting Him every step of the way
4- Jesus returned to His heavenly glory V5
Jesus prayed to return to the glory He shared with the Father before the world existed. This reminds us that Jesus is the eternal son of God, who came from heaven and returned to heaven after completing His saving work.
Application:
Because Jesus is the risen and glorified Lord, we can trust Him completely and worship Him with confidence
Conclusion:
John 17:1-5 teaches us that:
* Jesus glorified the Father
* Jesus gives eternal life to those who know Him
* Jesus faithfully completed his mission
* Jesus is the eternal, glorified son of God .

✨️John 17:1-5 (NIV)
[1]After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.
[2]For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.
[3]Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
[4]I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do.
[5]And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
AMEN

Prayer for Saturday August 22nd

Prayer for church and Evangelism

Heavenly Father,
Pour out your Holy Spirit on our church. Ignite our hearts with a fresh passion for your name. Make us a beacon of light in our community, and give us bold love to share the good news of Jesus Christ with a lost and hurting world. Bind us together in deep love and peace so our fellowship reflects your grace to the world. Awaken us. Remove all spiritual sleep and comfort. Fill every member with wisdom, spiritual understanding, and a readiness to serve. Give us the courage to speak your truth without fear of rejection or shame. Prepare the hearts of those who do not know you. Open their spiritual eyes and ears to receive the Gospel message. Send out more missionaries, local witnesses and eager messengers into your field. In Jesus 'name Amen 🙏

🎀 Jude 1:17-23 (NIV)
[17]But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.
[18]They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.”
[19]These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
[20]But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,
[21]keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
[22]Be merciful to those who doubt;
[23]save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
AMEN

Prayer for Friday August 21st

Prayer for our Nation and Leaders

Heavenly Father,
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for our government leaders. Grant them your wisdom to govern with justice, compassion, and humility. May they be guided by the principles of your word, seeking the common good and upholding the values that honor you. Would you give our leaders wisdom, discernment and strength. Give our spiritual leaders your discernment on how to meet people 's needs as they glorify your name and encourage the church. We pray the Prince of peace would heal the divisions in our nation and unite the hearts of believers. Where there is misunderstanding bring clarity, and where there is anger bring compassion. Remind us of your eternal perspective as we live in the present, working for the good of our community. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray Amen 🙏

💫Matthew 25:14-30 (NIV)
[14]“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.
[15]To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.
[16]The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.
[17]So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more.
[18]But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
[19]“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them.
[20]The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
[21]“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
[22]“The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
[23]“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
[24]“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
[25]So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
[26]“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?
[27]Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
[28]“ ‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.
[29]For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
[30]And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
AMEN
