First Saturday of the year prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Immaculate Heart of Mary, chosen dwelling of God, model of perfect discipleship, receive us as your children and lead us ever closer to your Son, Jesus Christ.
Mother most pure, we place this new year within your Immaculate Heart. Take our thoughts, our words, our actions, and our intentions. Purify what is disordered, strengthen what is weak, and guard us from whatever leads us away from God. Teach us to ponder all things in our hearts as you did, with faith, patience, and obedience.
Immaculate Heart, united so closely to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, intercede for us and for the whole world. Obtain for us the grace of repentance, perseverance in prayer, fidelity to our Christian calling, and a deep love for the Eucharist. Console those who are suffering, guide those who are lost, and protect our families and communities.
We offer you reparation for the sins and indifference that wound your maternal Heart. Help us to live this year in a spirit of conversion, humility, and service. May our lives become a quiet “yes” to God, even when the path is unclear or demanding. Amen
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, our Mother; to thee do we come, before thee we stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer us. Amen.
O Mary, our Mother, keep us under your mantle throughout this year.
