The mandate to the church (The Body of Christ) is to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19-20; Mk.15:16). It is stated in Acts 1:8, the Scripture says that the Holy Spirit will enable us to be witnesses for the Lord beginning from our Jerusalem, Judea, Samara and the ends of the Earth. Thus evangelism and discipleship are of high importance in the body of Christ (the Church). If the world must become a better place, if mankind is to be saved and make eternity with his creator then there must be a very vigorous effort on the part of the church to evangelize and disciple as many as possible. It has been proven that man’s greatest need is not what this world has to offer, but the Creator, God is man’s greatest need.
Mankind is created with a God shape vacuum within that nothing this world has can fill. (Jn.7:37)
Also there are many who are saved but lack basic understanding of the Christian life. Many are unable to reach maturity because there is no systematic discipleship teaching being provided to them. We’ve conducted much surveys--- working with pastors, and other Christian leaders and students. The statistics compiled as a result of these surveys are cause for great alarm and concern, as we discover that more than 50% of the members of the churches in Liberia are not sure of salvation (in some churches that figure might be higher or lower depending on the leadership of the church. There are many who do not understand the ministry of the Holy, and there are still many who are not regularly sharing their faith in Christ. Through prayer to the Lord (and for the purpose helping to meet this critical need of many) of the harvest that He will send laborious for His harvest, He has inspire us to begin the process of laboring and making more laborers for this plentiful harvest Matt. 9: 37-38.
At SEED we believe nothing has the most transforming power than the message of salvation. It is our ardent prayer that this need will be felt by every member of the body of Christ in our nation Liberia. Souls are being lost every day; therefore it’s time to stand up for this call. It’s time to take the church to the people and not wait for them to come. Please partner with us and let’s advance the Kingdom of God, for the Lord of the harvest is waiting on you and the mandate is “GO”.
