"But for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded." (II Chronicles 15:7)
The above text were the words of the Prophet Azariah to King Asa and the people of Judah after they had returned from a victory against the Ethiopians, urging them to continue their commitment and faith in God. The text is especially encouraging believers to be strong and to not give up, for their works will be rewarded. The text also serves as a powerful encouragement for Believers to persevere in doing good and remain steadfast in faith, even when facing challenges, as God will acknowledge and reward their efforts. The author is further calling on Christians to not let their hands be weak and to trust in God's faithfulness. The core message of our text for today is that even when things are difficult, we as believers should not be discouraged, but rather, continue to do what is right, trusting that God will reward our faithfulness. Hence, as we carry out our various Christian's duties and obligations, let us be strong in our faith and never give up on our good works even when facing obstacles and opposition, for we will be rewarded in due course.
