THE DOCTRINES OF MAN VS. GODâS DOCTRINE
BY: BRO. ARMAH B. JOHNSON
Today, the preachers of the Bible have twisted, added, misunderstood and have misinterpreted the Word of God either willfully or ignorantly, and have preached manâs doctrine, theologies, philosophies and ideologies more the Godâs own message to mankind.
The Churches over the years have listened and obeyed the Preachersâ words rather than the Word of God.
They have placed too much trust in their abilities and wisdoms for the interpretation and the application of Godâs word. They believed philosophers rather than the prophets of old time and the apostles who were witnesses of the teachings of Christ.
I want to take you to the language of the Bible and not the Language of the todayâs preachers. You have to believe the Bibleâs message more than the messengers of Pulpits today.
Before I identify and expose their heresies, let get something straight.
The Bible is not a contradicting book, but the comprehension and interpretation of the divine Word of God cannot be fully understood and explained through mare education and the wisdom of man.
Listen to what Jesus said to his disciples in John 14:26
âBut the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto youâ
So, if you do not have the Holy Ghost, you canât know all things. The divine understanding of the Bible requires the help of the Holy Spirit.
Listen to 1 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
The Scriptures are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. So, we are going to get some corrections today.
Now, before I conduct this spiritual surgery on you with the help of the Holy Spirit, please lay aside every preconceived notions or Perceptions and take the Correction from the Scriptures, and not me.
Psalmist David said something in Psalm 119:105
âThy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my pathâ
What does this means? It means that you need the word of God to lighting up your path on that narrow way, which leads to life eternal. (Mathew 7:14)
I have not written this piece to entice you with words of Manâs wisdom like todayâs ministers of the gospel, but to give you the language of the Bible and the scripture evidences to what I am about to say.
Now, listen to what Paul the apostle Said.
âAnd my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of Godâ
(1corinthians 2:4-5)
Now! If you have a preacher who is not preaching in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power, than you are hearing enticing messages. This is not me talking, but the Bible.
Listen to 1 Corinthians 3:19
âFor the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.â
What is considered foolishness to God in this passage? The Wisdom of the World: So, when we have people interpreting the divine book, the Bible with their worldly wisdom, only foolishness comes out.
Someone asked me the other day? Why are there different churches with different doctrines, but are all claiming to be the Church of Jesus Christ. You got catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Jehovah witnesses, Latter Day saints, SDA etc.
If you examine their teachings, theirs beliefs and doctrines, you will see a lot of contrasts. But Why?
Now! Letâs here what the Bible says: Philippians 3:16-17
âNevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.â
Now, if we are all walking by the same rule and having the apostles as our examples, than there should be no difference in the teaching of the word of God. So, where are all these confusions coming from?
Listen to the Bible âFor God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.â (1 Corinthians 14: 33)
Hold on! If God is not the author of Confusion, than who is? Letâs find out.
Now! Listen to Bible âThen came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
But he answered and said unto them, why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
(Matthew 15:1-3, 9)
Listen to the Bible!
âWherefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.â(2 Thessalonians 2:15)
âNow we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, which ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.â (2 Thessalonians 3:6)
Today, it is my hope that you withdraw yourself from any church or religion that contradicts Bible doctrine.
Let me state this, Religious Organizations have turned the truth of God into Lie and I intent to show you daily through the help of God.
Hold on! Let be backed this up with scriptures
Romans 1: 18-32
âFor the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.â
(Romans 1: 18-32)
1. Manâs doctrine or Church organization says a woman can preach, be a Pastors, Bishop, Deaconess, apostles etc.
Letâs go back to Bible!
1 Timothy 2:12 â 14 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
This is not me speaking, but the Bible. Paul reference the transgression of the woman from the beginning.
When the Commandment was given to Adam not to eat of the Tree that was in the center of the Garden of Eden, Eve was yet not formed.
âAnd the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.â (Genesis 2:16-17)
Now, in Genesis 2:18: âAnd the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
So you see here clearly that Eve wasnât on the scene when the Commandment was given to Adam.
But when she spoke the serpent, this is what she said in Genesis 3:2-3.
âAnd the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.â
How did Eve get to know of the instruction given to Adam? God didnât speak to Eve and secondly, she wasnât form yet when the instruction was issued and the Bible didnât tell us that God gives Eve the instruction. So, if she didnât get the instruction from God, who else may have told her? It is believable that Adam told her. She got the Message from God through her Husband.
Again, if Eve knew what the Commandment was and still proceeded to disobey God and caused her Husband to be in disobedience with her, she has disqualify her from being the bearer of Godâs Word.
The Bible said that the Garden was in eastward of Eden and the tree was in the center of the Garden. Letâs follow the Bible.
Genesis 2:8 âAnd the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.â
Genesis 3: 2-3 And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
The word âmidstâ in synonyms means middle, center, heart etc.
So, let understand something first. Adam is in the eastward part of the garden where God has placed him, and the tree that God had warned him about was in the center of the Garden.
How come Eve is in the center and not in the east where her husband was placed by God? Only one way to conclude this, she was walking around. She had left the position where she was to be a help meek unto her husband.
Another thing to Point out here is that Eve was having conversation. It means she was talking not to her husband, but the serpent that old devil. Somebody may ask, how do you know that the serpent in the garden was Satan, the devil? The Bible says so.
Revelation 12:9 âAnd the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.â
Besides talking, she touched, picked the Fruit and ate.
Now, some Churches say that:
âEve ate the Appleâ Thatâs a Lie. Did the Bible tell you what tree was in the Garden of Eden? Did the Bible also tell you that Eve ate apple? The Answer is No? Did the Bible tell you what kind of fruit? No! So, if the Bible didnât say so, who said this? Manâs tradition or Church organization.
I challenge all you readers to show me in the Holy Bible that Eve ate apple.
Letâs return to the subject matters.
1 Corinthians 14:34 - Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
This scripture is clear. Keep silence and donât speak.
Now, let me break it down for you in a question and answer form
1. Who should keep silence and donât speak? Your woman
2. Why? For it is not permitted unto them to speak.
3. Where? In the Church
4. Who said it? The law
5. What should the women do if they want to learn anything since they are permitted to speak in the Church? Let them ask their husbands at home
6. But Why not in the Church? for it is a shame for women to speak in the church
This is the Bible speaking.
Titus 2:1-15 - But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine.
Can a woman be a Bishop? Letâs find out.
1Timothy 3:1
This is a true saying, If a man desires the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
Now, Church organization and religion, have given more powers and authorities to women than what the bible has given. And because this has been accepted and taught for so long, it has been accepted as the tradition and doctrine of the Bible.
Let breakdown the scripture (1 Timothy 3:1). This scripture started by saying âThis is a true sayingâ Now, any other saying other than this true saying is a false and contradicting saying. Now, what is the true saying? If a man desires the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
That is the true saying âif a manâ. Suppose I say, if a woman desires the office of a bishop, she desireth a good work.
Will it be the true saying above in 1Tim.3:1? No!
somebody may argued that man referred to both gender as it was spoken in the beginning of creation when God said â, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.â (Genesis 1: 25a, 26)
If this is the argument then we will go further in the scripture.
1 Timothy 3:2
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
âWho should be a Bishop? The husband of one wife. NO! Church and religious organization say âA woman of one Husbandâ where is this coming from? The Language of the Bible is very clear on this matter.
Can a woman be deaconess? There is absolutely nowhere in the Bible that the word deaconess or office is deaconess is mentioned. This is men and church organizations own making. Why am I against it? It is because it contradicts Bible doctrine.
There is no woman ordained in the Bible as an apostle, pastor Bishop etc.
What can a woman be?
Just as a man can be a prophet, so can a woman be a prophetess. There are women in the Bible who were prophetess e.g. Miriam, Deborah, Anna.
Prophetess unveils prophecy and prophecy is the foretelling of Event.
Prophesize is not preaching. It is explaining divine revelation of things that will happen.
Now! Before Jesus came, there were prophecies about is coming.
Listen to Joel.
Joel 2:28 âAnd it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:â
Sons and daughters shall prophesy. There nothing scripturally wrong with a woman giving out a prophecy.
In the Book of Acts Chapter 2: 1-13, we see the manifestation of the Prophecy Spoken by Joel, the Prophet.
Acts 2:14-17 âBut Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:â
1. Can a woman teach? If yes, who is she to teach? And what is she supposed to teach?
Titus 2:3-5 âThe aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemedâ
Let me break it down for you.
âThe aged womenâ mean the older women. This Instruction is not for the younger women. They should be holy in behavior, not make up untruth accusation, and not drinking plenty Wine, but teaching morals. The question is to whom?
Ans. The young women
The older women in the Church are required to teach the younger women to be sober (be calm or Moderate), to love their husbands, to love their children, ( to have affection for your Husbands and children ) To be discreet, ( careful not to cause embarrassment or attract too much attention, especially by keeping something secret) , chaste(. not having had s*x, or only having a s*xual relationship with the person you are married to., keepers at home(having your house in order or keeping things in an organized manner) obedient to their own husbands( show subjection or respect)
Why? So that God be not blasphemed (cured or slandered)
If you want to argue, donât argue with me. I didnât write the Bible. It is the prophets and the Apostles under the inspiration of God who wrote it. God canât say one thing and you try to justify another.
Now Listen!
1 Corinthians 14:33 âFor God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.â
I Corinthian 4:37 âIf any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.â
