PROTEMP NYANBLEE KANGAR LAWRENCE HOLD DIALOG WITH GRAND BASSA JOURNALISTS ON COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AGENDA

Protemp Nyanblee Kangar Lawrence on Saturday held a high-level engagement with members of the Grand Bassa Journalists Association, outlining her development agenda and reaffirming her commitment to inclusive governance and transparent communication in the county.
The engagement, held in Buchanan, brought together radio, and online journalists, providing a platform for open dialogue on legislative priorities, county-wide development challenges.
During the interaction, Protemp Lawrence emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between lawmakers and the media, noting that accurate and responsible journalism is critical to promoting development, peace, and informed citizen participation in Grand Bassa County.
She highlighted key focus areas of her agenda, including improved road connectivity, support to education and health institutions, youth empowerment, and advocacy for increased budgetary allocation to address longstanding infrastructure gaps in the county.
The Protemp also used the occasion to brief journalists on ongoing legislative efforts and consultations aimed at ensuring that national policies and county development plans align with the real needs of local communities, particularly those in hard-to-reach districts.
Journalists in attendance welcomed the engagement and used the forum to raise concerns ranging from access to public information and capacity building for media practitioners, to the need for sustained dialogue between elected officials and the press.
In response, Protemp Lawrence assured the journalists of her willingness to maintain open lines of communication, stressing that constructive criticism and feedback from the media would help strengthen governance and service delivery.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to foster collaboration, the Protemp reiterated her dedication to advancing policies that promote growth, accountability, and inclusive development across Grand Bassa County.
