✨ TWO IMPORTANT DUTIES OF A PASTOR ✨

📖 Main Text: Acts 20:28-30; 2 Timothy 2:15

🌌 INTRODUCTION

A pastor is not merely a motivational speaker, entertainer, businessman, or religious celebrity.
In the Dispensation of Grace, God has ordained pastors to faithfully minister the Mystery truth revealed to the Apostle Paul for the Body of Christ.
The pastor’s ministry is not centered on popularity, prosperity, or performance.

✨ A true pastor has TWO MAJOR DUTIES:
1️⃣ GUIDE the saints in sound doctrine
2️⃣ GUARD the flock from false doctrine

Paul warned that spiritual deception would increase in the last days.
📖 Acts 20:29 – “Grievous wolves enter in among you...”
📖 2 Timothy 4:3 – “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine...”
A faithful pastor must therefore feed and protect the flock through rightly divided truth.

1️⃣ 📖 THE PASTOR MUST GUIDE THE FLOCK

📖 Ephesians 4:11-13
A pastor must spiritually guide believers into maturity through sound doctrine.

🔹 A. GUIDE Through RIGHT DIVISION
The pastor must teach the difference between prophecy and mystery.
Israel’s program must not be confused with the Body of Christ.

🔹 B. GUIDE Through REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY
Paul’s Gospel and the Mystery must be clearly preached.
Grace truth establishes believers.

🔹 C. GUIDE Through ROOTED DOCTRINE
Saints must be grounded in grace doctrine.
Spiritual stability comes from sound teaching.

🔹 D. GUIDE Through REPRODUCING DISCIPLESHIP
A pastor trains believers to grow and serve.
Ministry is multiplication, not merely attendance.

The pastor equips believers for spiritual service.
The church is a training ground for ministry.

A faithful pastor must defend the truth against deception.

🔹 A. GUARD Against FALSE GOSPELS
Many preach works, rituals, or law for salvation.
The true Gospel is Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

🔹 B. GUARD Against FALSE TEACHERS
Wolves distort Scripture and deceive believers.
Pastors must expose doctrinal error.

Human traditions cannot replace grace truth.

🌌 CONCLUSION

The ministry is not a platform for entertainment.
It is a divine responsibility to:
✔️ GUIDE believers into truth
✔️ GUARD believers from error

A faithful pastor:
Preaches Christ
Rightly divides the Word
Defends the Gospel
Feeds the saints
Warns against deception

HOW TO GET PEOPLE ATTRACTED TO YOU

1. Be mysterious. It develops attraction towards you.
2. Be least available. Scarce things are always attractive to the people.
3. Be confident. It shows you are capable of doing things in a better way.
4. Be well dressed. Your great dressing sense attracts the attention of others.
5. Smell good. Use powerful perfume and deo to catch other's attention.
6. Your body language should be open. It shows you are frank and carefree.
7. Be least responsive to attract other people. This will draw their attention towards you and will increase your demand.
8. Don't sell yourself so easily to the people. Let them make efforts to win you because people don't value the things which they get easily.
9. Don't express yourself much on social media. This kills the attraction.
10. Don't care what other people think about you.
11. Don't be desperate while talking or texting to someone.
12. Don't be needy. The more needy you become, the least attention you get. Learn to say NO.
12. Be yourself. Don't change yourself to win someone. Change yourself to improve.
13.Don't reveal everything about yourself. Revealing everything about yourself makes you 'least attractive' person.
14. Don't get affected if someone is not giving you importance you want or deserve.
Always be the one to end the conversation.
15. Don't show too much interest in anyone.
16. Don't be too nice to the people. People will take you granted for it and you are destined to loose all the attractions. Strong sense of humour increases the attraction because it's also one of the signs of an intelligent personality.
17. Show priority to your goal and not any other people (expect your family members).
18. During conversation, make eye-contact with the other person and smile slightly.
19. Love yourself and never be afraid to stand up for what you believe. Be opinionated and up to date about trendy topics and other social issues.

Long-time ago in the Animal Kingdom, a Goat was passing and saw a Lion crying inside a cage trapped and the lion begged the goat to save him with a promise not to kill and eat it but the goat refused. After much persuasion and for the goat's gullibility it opened the cage for the lion.

Now the lion was very hungry having stayed in the cage for days without food. It quickly grabbed the goat to kill and eat but the goat reminded him of his promise. They were still there arguing when other animals came passing and they sought to know what happened. Both the lion and the goat narrated their own side of the story but because of fear and in trying to gain favour in the sight of mr lion, all the animals took side with the lion except the who claim not to understand the whole scenario.

Now the Tortoise asked the lion to show them where he was before the innocent goat rescued him, he pointed at the cage. He asked again, "were you inside or outside when the goat arrived"? The lion said he was inside. The tortoise again said, "ok, enter let’s see how difficult it could be inside". The lion entered and the tortoise locked him back inside.

In amazement, the other animals asked tortoise "why" and he replied "if we allow him to eat the goat today, he will still go hungry tomorrow and we don't know the next amongst us to be eaten tomorrow.
