TOPIC: TOTAL SURRENDER OF WILL

SCRIPTURE:
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. LUKE 22:42

The surest way to lose out in life and destiny is to follow your will at the expense of God’s Will.

Sometime ago, I saw one of our young men and I saw his trouser. Then I said, “Your trouser is afraid of the ground, it’s just hanging up like that. If I were to put on this your kind of trousers to preach, I think it would be good.”
He said, “No sir. This one will be bad for you sir.”
Today, we live in a generation where people want to do what they want, particularly young people.
As a young person, my counsel is, you must make up your mind to totally surrender your will to God and not claim to know all things.

The craving to do what one wants is the reason for the rebellion we see among the youth of our day. Many youths want to do things upside down. They want to follow their will, but they don’t know that following any will outside the Will of God leads to regrets. The surest way to lose out in life and destiny is to follow your will at the expense of God’s Will.

Beloved, my counsel to you is: surrender your will to the Will of God. Allow God to take over your will, Make God’s Will your will.

Remember that the surest way to lose out in life and destiny is to follow your will at the expense of God’s Will.

What to do:
1. Make a decision to daily deny yourself. Avoid the gratification of the flesh and the glorification of self.
2. Discover God’s Will for your life and follow it diligently.

PRAYER:
Lord, I ask that You reveal Your will to me. I receive the grace to totally surrender my will and make Your Will mine, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: PRAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that
are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty
(1 Timothy 2:1-2).

Our theme scripture is the Spirit’s admonition through Paul to the Church on the importance of earnest intercession for all men, our countries of domicile, and the leaders therein. The result of such is an overwhelming experience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity. This is part of what you do in obedience—praying, contending for the hearts of men in your country, and around the world—that God’s righteousness be established, and all forms of evil, turmoil, wickedness, and terror, be thwarted.

Today, the happenings in our world are a great source of concern. But the Church holds the solution. The Church is the only restraining power against evil in the earth today (2 Thessalonians 2:7).
So, you must pray and not complain. If you don’t pray for your country, the leaders, and people, where would peace come from?

Read our theme verse again; God’s directive on how we must pray in order to experience peace in our nations is clear; it’s not by bearing arms or becoming riotous.

Rise to the challenge and take up the responsibility of prayer. Pray earnestly and fervidly in the Spirit for the nations and leaders of the countries where you live or work, and the rest of the world. Declare that God’s righteousness prevails, and His glory rests on, and influences men’s hearts as God’s people boldly proclaimthe Gospel.

Pray also for ministers, that they’d be granted more grace to preach the Gospel with boldness and power, that many more souls would be added to the Church all around the world. Until the rapture takes place, we hold the true reins of power in the nations and have the authority to direct their course through prayer.

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I pray that your peace, progress, and prosperity will reign in the nations of the world and that you’ll grant the ministers of the Gospel the courage to preach and minister your Word boldly. I pray that the power and influence of their message will kindle your love in people’s hearts. Thank you for the tremendous and glorious transformation of many lives through the Gospel today, in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
