MIRACLE OF THE RISEN JESUS

Mem. Verse: Matt. 28:6: “He is not here: for He is risen, as He said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay”.

Reading: Matt. 28:1 - 7;
1 Cor. 15:42 - 45.

A Christian is one who lives in an atmosphere of miracles. Our reading this morning is about the glorious resurrection of Jesus. It is the greatest miracle recorded in the Bible. Until that morning, there was no record of anyone who had died, been buried, risen from the dead, and had his natural body changed to a spiritual body that is not prone to death or decay.
The Miracle of Resurrection made it possible in the case of Jesus, the Son of God. The good news is that all true Christians who received salvation shall experience the Miracle of Resurrection when Jesus shall return to take away the saints with Him to heaven (1 Cor. 15:20, 23).
Because Jesus is the first fruit of the Miracle of Resurrection, we as believers have assurance of the same resurrection power of God when the trumpet shall sound (1 Thess. 4:14 -16).
The beauty of the Miracle of Resurrection is that Jesus was buried in His natural body, but when He arose the third day, He had a spiritual body that is immortal (1 Cor. 15:42 - 45).
The risen Jesus was complete with body, soul, and spirit. The body still had the scars of the wounds He suffered on the Cross. It was a real body made of flesh and bone. The Miracle of Resurrection also endowed Him with supernatural powers.
He went to the grave as Jesus, son of Mary, but when He arose, He became Christ the Messiah. He was seen by many people. His voice was restored, and he spoke and ate food with His disciples (Lk. 24:36 43; Jn. 20:20, 27; Acts 1:3; 10:41-42). This is the glorified body of the risen Jesus; made possible through the Miracle of Resurrection. All believers who live righteously shall have a glorified body in the likeness of the risen Jesus. Are you celebrating Easter because it is your Church's tradition? The truth is, we are celebrating the first fruit of the Miracle of Resurrection. We rejoice because Jesus has opened the door for us to experience the same miracle on His return. HAPPY EASTER celebration!

PROPHETIC COMMAND (MORNING & NIGHT)
Worship! Praise!! Thanksgiving!!!

1.Thank You Father for You are God of signs and wonders.
2.Thou angel that appeared at the grave of Jesus on resurrection morning, appear in my life today for signs and wonders, in Jesus' name.
3.Power that rolled away the stone from the grave of Jesus, roll away my stubborn problems, in the name of Jesus.
4.Miracle of Resurrection morning, locate me in the name of Jesus.
5.Resurrection Morning, arise with healing in your wings, touch me, and heal me in Jesus' name.
6.By the Miracle of Resurrection, I have hope beyond the grave. If I died ⁸in Christ, I shall rise again in Jesus' name.
7.By the Miracle of Resurrection, the power of death over my life is revoked, in Jesus' name.
8.Because Jesus is risen, the fear of death is gone from me, in Jesus' name.
9.Because Jesus rose from the grave, my star shall rise and shine, in Jesus' name.
10.My destiny, buried in the rubbles of the graves of my ancestors, come alive by the Miracle of Resurrection, in Jesus' name.

Topic: GOD STILL NEEDS YOU

So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them. But as they were losing the c**t, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you losing the c**t?” And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”
Luke 19:32–34
The Message
Jesus knew that no matter how well you planned, there would be obstacles on the way. He did not assume that everything would work out smoothly.

Two Things To Take Note of in This Passage.

1. Jesus made contingency arrangements. He made plans for questions that would be asked of His disciples. Definitely, you can’t enter a village you are not familiar with, untie a donkey, and hope that no one will challenge your actions. Many of us make plans without thinking of the challenges to our plans.

The challenges can come in many forms. It can be people questioning our authority, people denying us an opportunity, people preventing us from gaining access.

What do you do when people challenge your plans? Jesus anticipated the obstacles to His mission. He knew how to resolve challenges to His plans. He knew the words to use to get what He wanted. He told His disciples to respond, ‘The Lord has need of him’.

2. ‘The Lord needs him’. Those simple words from the lips of Jesus’ disciples secured the release of the donkey. I’ve wondered how the opposers understood this answer, ‘the Lord has need of him’. Which Lord? It seems vague. Was the phrase a password? Was it a coded message? Obviously, the phrase by itself was powerful enough to get the opposers to release the donkey.

There is good news for each one of us who has faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord has a purpose for us. He saved us from sin so that He can use us to work the works of righteousness.

The donkey that Jesus sent His disciples to go and lose had no idea that he had a prophetic role to play in God’s plan of salvation. Likewise, you may have no idea of the critical mission that the Lord has brought you into the world to accomplish.
God can use us for His mission at any time in our lives. You may be old and retired, but the Lord still has need of you. On the other hand, you may be young and inexperienced, but the Lord has a mission for you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know you have a plan and a purpose for my life. I am ready. Use me for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*STRENGTH FOR THE JOURNEY*

*Scripture Reading:* Hebrews 12

_Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. *(Hebrews 12:12–13)*_

We need strength to push past the things that seek to stop us. We need strength to persevere in the face of life's failures or shortcomings. All of us, sometimes get tired and discouraged by the many issues we deal with.

As we begin this year, may the Lord God Almighty fuel each of us with His divine power. There will be battles to be fought. There will be spiritual and emotional battles for us to wage and the physical exhaustion from warfare.

In our verse for today, God gives three instructions related to His strength for three parts of our body.

1. *Strengthen the HANDS.* Hands usually refer to our involvement in work or battle. The phrase, ‘hands which hang down’ imply tiredness and discouragement because of the battles we fight in our work. God wants our hands to be strong for all the work we do. He also wants our hands to be strengthened to fight and win every battle facing us. In 2024, our hands will be strong in the Lord.

2. *Strengthen the KNEES. The knees refer to our ability to stand.* Amid threats and crisis, God does not want us to have wobbly knees. The Lord is the one who helps us to stand. When pressure mounts, we must not buckle under. Even when the load we carry is heavy, our God gives us the grace to stay firmly fixed. We have to do what Moses said to the Israelites when they were caught between Pharaoh’s army and the Red sea, ‘stand still and see the salvation of the Lord’. In 2024, we will stand firm in the Lord.

3. *Make straight paths for your FEET.* The feet refer to movement and direction. God wants us to live our lives with a clear sense of direction. As our Helper, the Holy Spirit orders our steps in the way we should go. He is our guide who knows the best route for us to take. In 2024, we will walk in the steps of the Lord.

_*Prayer:* Heavenly Father, strengthen my hands for work and for battle. Help me to stand in faith and stay on course. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
