*THE DEAD EVANGELIST IN CHOIR ROBE!*
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Brother Clifford made it a duty upon himself that come sunshine or rain, he will be at the Train Station distributing Gospel Tracts to passengers as they board or leave the train! This he did faithfully for several years!
One day at the church service after a rendition by the choir members in church, the choir was appreciated, praised and given a standing ovation. Brother Clifford, instead of being happy for them was very sad. He thought his soul winning efforts was not being acknowledged, rewarded and recognised by the church members and ministers.
He also noticed that nobody from the station has met him to say thank you for what he has been faithfully doing over the years.
Brother Cliffird decided to abandon the trips to the Train Station. Instead he joined the choir and started singing with them. To his surprise he was warmly welcomed. He discovered also that very soon he was singing and receiving standing ovations. He concluded in his mind he has just made the right decision.
One day, he sang Psalm 23 as a solo and by the time he finished singing, the whole church including the pastoral team and the elders were on their feet clapping and giving him a standing ovation.
Suddenly there arose an old man, a stranger in the midst of the congregation who asked to sing the same song while the church was still on their feet clapping for the soloist.
Against protocol, the pastor cynically allowed the old man to sing.
By the time the old man finished singing, the whole church was on their knees, some weeping, others praying in repentance.
That day, there was no more sermon but an altar call. With sinners giving their lives and backsliders returning to their first love and the whole church rededicating its life.
Brother Clifford, the evangelist in choir robe, felt a deep hole in his heart. He felt empty. He saw the difference between entertainment for the appreciation of men and the ministration for the appreciation of heaven. He left the church with a heavy heart.
Without thinking of removing his choir robe, he headed for the Train Station empty handed as if in a trance. Getting there he met a man in the same spot where he used to stand to distribute gospel leaflets before. The man was distributing gospel tracts and handed him one. The Tract read "I WILL BE A FAITHFUL SOLDIER, I WILL DIE AT MY POST". It ended asking, "are you a faithful witness of the WORD?"
With tears in his eyes and a shaky voice, he asked the man how he came to start distributing the tracts at the spot in the Train Station. The busy man, not looking at him, told him of a dead man who used to come there come sunshine and rain to distribute tracts. That for months the man has not been there. He told him that he believed and concluded the man must be dead. He said the dead man once gave him a tract before that changed his commitment to Christ. And since the man was dead, he felt God wanted him to replace the dead man to continue the good work in the memory of the dead man.
The man kept emphasising, "The Dead Man, The Dead Man" which further sent Brother Clifford back to his knees weeping and asking for God's forgiveness.
Hmm...
If you are still reading this believe me, God has set you up to read it because He has a purpose for your life.
Have you left your assignment because of some discouragements from cynics and critics?
Have you abandoned the unheard, unseen and unsung praise of heaven for the standing ovation of men?
Are you like the evangelist in choir robe? Or are you like the singer singing to entertain in church - the place of entertainment is in the theatre not the church.
The church is for ministration in the Spirit by Worshiping God in The Spirit and The Truth.
GOD ASKED ME TO TELL YOU TODAY THAT HE IS A GOD OF SECOND CHANCE RETURN TO YOUR FIRST LOVE TODAY

Topic: Don’t Procrastinate

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

— Galatians 5:22-23 (AMPC)

The Bible says that we need to be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it (James 1:22AMPC). In other words, we’re to apply its teaching to our everyday lives; when we do, we can reap the blessings that come with being obedient.

Procrastination is one of the greatest barriers to putting God’s word into action in our lives. It takes self-control to do something we need to do but don’t feel like doing, and it also takes self-control not to do something we want to do that isn’t good for us. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit that comes into our lives by spending time with God, and it helps us to not only obey His Word, but to do it at the right time, without putting it off.

I want to encourage you to start asking God to give you the self-control to do what’s right when He asks you to. As you do that, you’ll begin to overcome procrastination and see His grace at work in your life in a new way.

Prayer Starter: Father, please give me the self-control I need to do what’s right without putting it off. Thank You for Your grace to grow today. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Further Study:

John 14:21
The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]

22 Judas, not Iscariot, asked Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself [make Yourself real] to us and not to the world?

23 Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.

Lamentations 3:22-26

It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Have a great day my brother

Topic: Do you trust the voice of your master?

Matthew 14:25-29 (NKJ) And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water.

Everyone of us have a master (Leader) we follow and listen to, we trust every word they speak, wether you're a student under a professor, or a trainee under a treanner, wether you're an employee under an employer, etc.
You'll agree with me that we have trust in them and we place great values to what they say, else we'll not be listening to them thoughtless of us following them.

For example a student trust the teaching staff of a school before enrolling in that school, an employee trust the salary in the employment agreement that his boss signed with him, a patient trust a doctor of the hospital which he or she chooses for operation or treatment.

In the text above, Jesus in the fourth watch of the night came to his desciples working on the water, and they saw him, they thought it was a spirit, but he quickly encourages them saying"don't be afraid it is I" but for Peter, that was not enough for him, he needed a word from his master, his King, a command and that will convince him, Kings give command, they don't struggle with things, if you obey or disobey, you see results. Verse 28 "and Peter said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water".
Peter always knew that his master have a commanding power, he has authority in his word over everything in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth, so he said Master, if it is you, command me to come to you walking on the water as you do. He called you too. Matthew 11:28-29, He say "come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls".

l love to imitate Peter in following Jesus, he always listened to Jesus and he observed every actions of his master. He is confident that his master will never lie, his master doesn't waist words, his master always meant what he says, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me".John 14:6.
Maybe Peter understood the secret of Jesus authority at the marriage in Canna, when Jesus mother saith unto them, "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it". John 2:5

Peter has an amazing attention on his master's words and actions, when Jesus speaks, or says something, he listens carefully and expects results.Read Mark 11:12-14, 20-21. He heard Jesus said to the fig tree "no one will eat of you again" the next day as they pass by, he look to see the action of his master's word, there it was, "he said look master! the tree you cursed yesterday is dry",

Can you be like Peter, to listen and trust the words of master Jesus no matter the situation around you? Have you understood the person of Jesus Christ; convinced, and trusting in his word, and that he's some one you can follow? Can you be like Peter after knowing and seeing who Jesus is answered and said onto him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life". John 6:68 (NKJ)
Do you know that the Church of Jesus Christ is built on Simon Peter's confession? Read
Matthew 16:16-19

Confession:
Lord, I will always trust your word, it's sure, it has power to make me walk on and through difficult circumstancise, your word will always guides me and will holds me up, your word is life to me, it's healing for my body, and your word refreshes and supplies my needs through Jesus Christ our Lord, in Jesus name.

further Studies:
John 14:12-13 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Topic: The principles of salvation
(How can we obtain salvation?)

Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Please read those two verses above again, notice it didn't say if you confess your sins, because you may not remember all that you have done against people and God, by the time you say some, you will remember more again and again and that may take your entire life time: that's why the scripture says just confess the name of Jesus with you mouth, meaning openly, loudly, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, if you do this, you are save automatically, right on the spot. That's the word of God.
Look at the next verse(vrs10),For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Believe: - accept (something) as true; feel sure of the truth of.
- hold (something) as an opinion; think or suppose.

Believing takes place in the heart, this is where you are convinced beyond all reasonable doubts, your heart is occupied by this reality and you are confident of it, knowing that it's true and nothing else. When the heart is full of such, the mouth speaks it, afirms or confesses it.

The heart and the mouth are the two powerful members of the body that control our life, health, and destiny, we discern what we want to be or do in our hearts, for example: it is in our hearts that we desire to be lawyers, politicians mechanics, medical doctors, and so on, before we can speak it out of our mouth, Jesus said in Matthew 12:34
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
So the Bible says, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you confess that Jesus is Lord of your life and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be save that's all, do you believe that Jesus is Lord, are you ready to say your confession now? Say it with me....

CONFESSION:
I confess that Jesus is the Lord of my life, and I believe that God raised him from the dead and he is seated at the right hand of God the father in heaven. I surrender my life to Jesus today to leads and controls every steps of my daily life my thoughts and my body in Jesus name Amen.

FUTHER STUDIES:

John 1:12 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 1:29 (KJV) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Topic: Leave the judging to the judge

“In the same way you judge others, you will be judged.” Mt 7:2 NIV

If you’re the one doing the judging, remember this timeless principle: What goes around comes around. Jesus said, “Do not judge…For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (vv. 1-2 NIV). It’s called the law of reciprocity, and it guarantees you will get back what you give. It’s not a threat; it’s an immutable law, just like the law of gravity.

You say, “I’m honest; I just tell it like it is. Besides, that person’s sin needs to be exposed!” It’s not about your honesty or their sin, it’s about God’s Word that forbids judging. You may be right and they may be wrong, but judging puts you in violation of Scripture. Plus it sets you up to be judged.

Question: What if the other person has already repented, confessed their sin, and received God’s forgiveness? Think about it: The worst kind of judging is judging sins God has already forgiven and forgotten (See Isa 43:25).

When we judge others, we’re looking in the wrong direction. We’re avoiding what we don’t want to see—our own shortcomings. Jesus said, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” (Mt 7:3 NIV). Whatever their “speck” is, it’s God’s business—not yours.

Your “plank” is your business! Jesus also said, “They are blessed who show mercy to others, for God will show mercy to them” (Mt 5:7 NCV). Instead of judging others, start investing in your own “mercy account.” You’ll need it soon enough.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, forgive me for constantly looking at others faults, exposing, and judging them, help me to focus on the multitudes of sins and problems in my life, and to pray for a positive change not only for me but for those friends around me in Jesus name.

Further Study:

Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Topic: It’s All Part Of God’s Plan

Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect (Romans 12:2 GNB).

As a Christian, every person who comes into your world has a role to play, whether good or bad. You’ll surely come across different kinds of people in your journey of life. No matter how they relate with you, recognise that God has placed them along your path for your benefit.

It doesn’t make any difference whether they’re helpful or hostile; their relationship with you is part of God’s plan to promote you. Once you understand this, you’ll be happy and grateful to God for anyone who comes into your world. A playwright once said, “All the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players; they have their entrances and their exits, and one man in his time plays many parts.”

Your only concern should be to please your heavenly Father. Don’t get concerned about the wrongs done to you; ignore the negative actions, comments or ill-treatments from others. Only respond in love to those who hurt or despitefully use you.

The highest and topmost quality of God’s character is living out His love in you, for the Bible says “…the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). You’re a testimony of the Father’s love, and your life is an outshining of that great love—unconditional and self-giving. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION:

It makes no difference how I’m treated by anyone, I respond only in love and kindness, because the love of God has been shed in abundance in my heart by the Holy Spirit. Every day and in all circumstances, I’m living out that love in me that the Name of Jesus may be glorified. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Matthew 5:43-48 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.(44) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;(45) That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.(46) For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?(47) And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?(48) Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Topic: Maintain Your Faith

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:25).

In Daniel chapter three, we find the story of King Nebuchadnezzar; his image of gold, and the decree that everyone worship it. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego wouldn’t bow to this golden image, he threatened to throw them into a burning furnace. But the three Hebrew boys were unmoved. They believed only in the God of Israel and wouldn’t give up their faith.

“We won’t bow to your god,” they told the king. “You may set up your fire; do what you have to do!” Their courage and doggedness made the King furious; so he commanded that the fire be made seven times hotter. “Our God is able to rescue us from the fire. But even if He doesn’t, we still won’t bow,” they added.

“All right then,” fumed the angry king, “We shall see!” When the Hebrew boys were eventually cast into the furnace, the fire was so hot that even the men who threw them in died in the process. Inside the fire, the bonds on their hands and feet burnt up, but they were unharmed by the fire.

They got up and began pacing in the midst of the fire, most likely worshiping the Lord. To the king’s amazement, there was a fourth man in the fire, walking with the three lads. The Lord had joined them in the fire and rescued them. Thus, neither King Nebuchadnezzar’s threat nor his brutal actions could stifle the faith of the lads. God ensured they came out victoriously.

Similarly, you must refuse to be intimidated or swayed by obnoxious laws or decrees enacted against the faith and Gospel of Jesus Christ. Take a stand for Christ; stick to His Word and watch Him do great wonders in, and through your life. Focus on pleasing Him, doing what He wants. Don’t be bothered by what people think about you or what they do to you. What matters is what God thinks. Therefore, love and serve Him with all your heart.

CONFESSION:

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word is my life. Irrespective of circumstances and situations, I stick to your Word and follow your guidance and will for my life. Thank you for the blessings I receive and enjoy today, and for showing me the key to a victorious faith-walk, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Acts 18:9-10; Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:(10) For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.

Daniel 3:25-30; He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.(26) Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.(27) And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.(28) Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.(29) Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.(30) Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego, in the province of Babylon.

Topic: He Bears You Up

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).

There’re times you may be confronted with so many predicaments that you wonder, “How am I supposed to pray about all of these problems?” The truth is, if you decide to pray about every problem or issues around you one after the other, you may spend eternity on your knees. Moreover, you may not even remember all of them.

But the good news is, God doesn’t expect you to carry your own burden. The Bible says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). In fact, He doesn’t expect you to pray about your problems, because you don’t even know about all of them. So how do you handle them? It’s part of the reasons He gave you the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit bears you up in the time of weakness or limitation.

When you don’t know what to do, what to pray for or how to go about a certain situation, He steps in. God gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us in all situations of life. When it comes to dealing with everyday problems, the same Holy Spirit stands in the gap (intercedes) for us as read in our theme verse. He takes charge in our behalf.

Be ever conscious and yielded to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your personal life. He prays through you with groanings and deep sighs which can’t be uttered in articulate speech, making intercession for you according to the will of God.

This is why it’s important that you pray often in other tongues; it helps you to activate your spirit and give vent to the divine utterances of the Holy Spirit. When you pray through your spirit, you inevitably address every necessary issue in your life that needs attention.

The psalmist remarked, “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me…” (Psalm 138:8). As you pray in the Spirit, the Lord would indeed put everything that concerns you into shape, even those things that you’re unaware of. You only need to trust Him with your life, realising that He’s big enough and willing to take care of you. Blessed be His Name forever!

PRAYER:

Dear loving Father, thank you for the extraordinary ministry of your Spirit who imparts to me the knowledge of your will concerning issues of importance, and helps me pray aright, causing circumstances to align with your perfect will for me and my loved ones, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

1 Corinthians 14:2; For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Romans 8:26-27; Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.(27) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Jude 1:20; But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Topic: Enjoy Your Life

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).

You can have and enjoy your best life now. You don’t have to wait for the government of your country to set things right and make society conducive before you enjoy your life. Enjoying your life is a choice you have to make for yourself, if you really want to have God’s best today and for all time.

Life is a gift, and a calling from God. Everything in life, including the world around you, was created for your benefit. All you need to enjoy life to the full is to be yourself and stay in God’s Word. Jesus said, “…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (John 10:10 AMPC). Think about that!

God has richly given you all things to enjoy. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” Enjoy your life to the full; everything you require to that effect has been given to you.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:21, “…all things are yours.” We also read that God has given you richly (not sparsely) ALL things to ENJOY. What you need is to spend time in the Word, to know what’s yours in Christ Jesus, so you can live by His Word and enjoy your life to the full, for His glory.

CONFESSION:

I’ve been called into God’s rest. I take charge of my life and enjoy it to its fullest, for Christ has made me a sharer, partner and participator of the divine nature. Therefore, I take advantage of the immense treasures and blessings of the Christ-life. Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY:

1 Timothy 6:17 NIV; Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Matthew 11:28-30 AMPC; Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. Jer. 6:16. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good–not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
